phonull Posted January 10, 2017 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Jake I need a little bit of help, I followed your el capitan install guide and used the e5540 boot pack, I'm able to get to the actual installed after partitioning my drive and it error after a second and says can't install on my computer please restart. phonull Posted January 10, 2017 Author Share Posted January 10, 2017 I did, that's what i thought it might have been the first time. One thing I did notice is that after step 19. Copy BaseSystem.dmg and BaseSystem.chunklist (hidden files) from “OS X Install ESD†to root of “Install OS X El Capitan†the files disappear after copy and before i hide them again and it says something about them being invisible.
