Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 3, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2017 No attachment in your last post Use the more reply options on the lower right. compress the folder first before you could attach I agree it must be Legacy, but MBR as well on my setup. The audio kext from my bootpack should work, but disable AppleHDA IDT #3 if you're installing Sierra. <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>AppleHDA IDT #3</string> <key>Disabled</key> <true/> <key>Find</key> <data> gxnUEQ== </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleHDA</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> AAAAAA== </data> </dict>
GatorGeek
So Sierra will install and work successfully on the L321X? Is there anything specific I need to do to create the installer USB?

I thought I did attach. In any case. I reattached to my last post. I ended up using the following kexts to get audio working under Sierra. Here is Sierra on my L321X I just followed Rehabmans clover guide. Although after reading here I suspect Im going to have to reinstall as MBR . Cant get clover booting from the HDD. thesuffering
anyone have multitouch on the cypress trackpad working in El Capitan/Sierra? I found one kext, but it was super sensitive and unusable.
GatorGeek
I was just about to ask about that too The Cypress trackpad functionality is "not great" I'm currently building an MBR Installer for Sierra. I was able to install Clover legacy on my Yosemite build and boot from the SSD, so I'm hoping I can do the same with Sierra.
GatorGeek
Not having any luck getting my Sierra installer to work. I get as far as the first photo...then after a short pause it gives me the NO screen. If I move the USB from Right to Left usb port, the installer progresses a little further but ends in a KP shortly thereafter. I've patched my installer with the MBR patch, so not sure what I'm doing wrong. My EFI is attached for your review. Sierra_EFI.zip
thesuffering
That ZIP file won't open for me in Sierra. Whats the KP you are getting?
GatorGeek
I created the ZIP file with iZip. Opens fine for me here on another Sierra machine. I didn't snap a pic of the KP on the L321X.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 3, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2017 Use Apple native compressor to compress so we won't have this issue...I had to use The Unarchiver.app. GatorGeek, you're missing the ACPI folder with the DSDT/SSDT.
