  1. I understood I had to keep all the files were not modified by you (i.e. SSDT-PNLF and ssdt.aml). Now I understand that I have to keep all except SSDT-2 and 3. Is it correct? Thanks
  2. Hi Jake. I’ve used your SSDT files as recommended and I did 3 things: 1. Test boot on a cloned Sierra drive (external) 2. Test boot during updating the external Sierra drive to High Sierra 3. Test boot on USB installer of High Sierra. Results are as following: 1. System boot and works properly, but I have lost audio (deny symbol on audio. I use AppleHDA ALC) 2. Test was good because installer starts. Graphics are a little bit blurry on the top bar (you can see in attachment) I suppose because of graphics kexts that have to be updated. I still haven’t updated because small available time. 3. Test was good since installer started. Graphics are good Next step I would like to perform are: 1. Update all the kext as your boot pack in the external drive, in order to see if audio come back, 2. update the external drive to high Sierra and see what happens 3. Update main drive to high sierra In your post you mention to replace the content of the folder with those files you attached and keep the rest. Should I keep also SSDT.2 and 3? Many thanks Jake Marco
  3. Hi Jake. I will try again in 12 hours..now I’m out of home. I will keep you updated
  4. Hi Jake, in attachment compressed origin folder. I always used the https://github.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh beta version of ssdtPRGen to generate SSDT, placing SSDT.aml in ACPI/patched and it seems that everything works fine..but this is only my sensation
  5. Hi everybody! I tried many times to perform a new installation or updating to High Sierra using an external SATA-to-USB drive (a clone of my macOS 10.12.6 which runs quite good). For both attempts I followed: the general clover guide: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-xps-clover-guide/ the specific E7450 guide https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8514-dell-latitude-e7450-clover-uefi-only/ I updated to the latest clover v4359 version and I focused my attention to the E7450_HD5500_Only_A17_HS bootpack. Almost all the times boot hangs at the point in picture attached. I also tried to disable Legacy boot option, without success. I took off both laptop and CMOS battery, re-set bios, re-applied DVMT patch (some months ago there were no kext fix so I'm still there with DVMT), but unfortunately no success. I think I have followed all guides steps..but I don't manage to know what's going on. Could you please help me updating? Thanks Marco
  6. Thanks Bronxteck! Actually I found the same solution here: https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded)/tickets/423/ But I will try to perform these suggested tests on my external drive, in order to let it work. Now I’m focused on ACPI Battery in order to update to High Sierra, because installer stops there
  7. Hi everybody! As the subject of the topic, I find my wireless broken after updating clover to v4359. Here in attachment there is my EFI folder, where there should also be a drop of OEM values. I updated the Fake-PCIID kexts from RehabMan but no way. Which one could be the mistake? Thanks in advance Marco
  8. Guys, I will try to use another USB stick. Since I was able to update bios, this topic now is not so useful. You can close this if you want and I can open another one if I will encounter the same problems.
  9. Ok I tried all the things. Replacing batteries was not successful. Changing SMBIOS worked once but only that time. Worked I mean I arrived at the installer (there is a small issue in backlight but it is sufficient to change it with fn+f12) but it worked only once
  10. Hi Jake. Should I replace also Dell main battery? Why? Mine is quite good. After loading default bios values I still experience the problem. I will try to do also your procedure. In the meanwhile I will also try to change SMBIOS of USB installer (from MacbookAir7,1 of your bootpack to MacbookPro12,1 of my machine). I always try to be updated with clover. So I’m running the latest v4359.
  11. I performed a short video on what usually happens. I apologize for quality: it was not possible update a 42.3 MB video because of my connection. If this video is not suitable, I will try to upload the original one. video.zip
  12. USB installer, using the HS bootpack from you @Jake, has already the verbose and debug activated by default in config.plist The image on the #1 post is already in debug mode. Now I try to load default bios values, then I will keep you updated.
  13. No way..it's getting worse since I went to some steps before.. Now I re-try to create the USB installer and then see what happens
  14. I managed to update the bios to A17. Boot process now goes on (so bootpack cannot be used with A15) but, at a certain point, apple logo appears with an empty progress bar, then suddenly disappear. Is there anything I can do more? Now I can retry to boot again. Maybe it is sufficient to give a second chance to installer..
  15. Here in attachment there is the EFI folder, without theme folder, of USB stick. In order to specify this particular thing, I created a USB bootable drive since I don't have a test partition where to try all the kexts, bootpacks, etc.. I have a secondary, SATA converted to USB, hard disk where to test new things. I firstly tried to install HS from the installer but with no success. That's why I tried the USB way. If I understood correctly from Jake, I have to try first to update to A17 prior the update to HS. Thanks EFI.zip
  16. Hi everybody! As the subject of this topic I tried to create a USB with HS installer, following both the Dell Latitude E7450 guide and the more general Dell latitude/Inspiron/Precision/XPS - Clover Guide. I applied the HS boot pack as described by Jake in the main guide for this Dell, tried to boot but the result is this one attached. As mentioned in the title, I have bios A15. Can anyone light me the right way? Thanks
  17. Hi Jake, as your reply in post #35, I tried putting B201 on clover configurator-->system parameters and at startup brightness remains set approx. 60% of brightness. This has been a good improvement for me! Thanks
  18. Ok this worked. In a previous post you suggested me to install the EmuVariableUefi-64.efi (in order to make brightness set at startup) as the attached screenshot and this broke the audio. I had to uninstall it and than audio worked
  19. Ok..it was bad..this update broke the audio!!!
  20. I supposed it was not a problem. Thanks Jake! And I apologize for the silly question
  21. Hi everybody, as the image attached to this post, I find some troubles in updating Clover to the latest v. 4077. As you can see, I cannot select any EFI partition where to update clover. Any idea? This is not a great problem: laptop is working on clover 4061 but I could find some troubles in the futures Thanks a lot
  22. I didn't remember I already put all kexts in /L/E So brightness still starts at the maximum level..and I have to lower it manually
  23. Should I put all Clover/Other/Kexts in /L/E or in /S/L/E?
  24. Hi again. I've just tried: it continues to start at maximum brightness level, even with last bootpack. Is there any file I can attach to see what happens? Thanks
  25. On Page 1 you suggested to move Applebacklightinjector.kext to /L/E. Is it valid also for this bootpack? Because my brightness, following from the first one post this topic, is working using your previous suggestions. The "unique" problem is that it starts, at boot, from the maximum level. I previously tried this new bootblack, but having Applebacklightinjector.kext into Clover/Kekts/Other made the brightness not working correctly (the minimum brightness level of the slider correspond to almost half of the whole screen absolute brightness). I can try of course..and I will report about the behavior of brightness
