guys any update? i have the same laptop (core i3, 1366x768) but trying to install HS gives me all the above kernel panics. Tried everything posted here. Anyone made it?

hey guys i've got an issue. Got a Fujitsu AH552/SL and running yosemite 10.10.3 on it using a DSDT i found on the net for it. Everything seems to be in order except the battery status. I have no indication of it. I was running mavericks with a rollback appleACPIPlatform.kext and it was ok but when i do the same in yosemite my serial number dissappears. Looking through forums it is clear that a DSDT edit can solve my issue without replacing AppleACPIPlatform.kext but unfortunately i don't have the knowhow to to it. Is it possible? Could someone help?

digging up an old post here but i didn't know where to ask. I recently played with an imac7,1 smbios on a desktop pc which included the following lines: <key>SMexternalclock</key> <string>200</string> <key>SMmaximalclock</key> <string>2200</string> My cpu is a pentium E2160 @ 1.8GHz but after using that smbios hwmonitor shows throttling up to 2,2 ghz. Is it true or is it "fake"? Can someone oc just by messing with smbios???

Great news for the fujitsu AH552/SL. I upgraded from the i3 3110m to an i7 3632QM (direct swap), also from 4gb to 16gb ram (8+8). Added a custom ssdt for the i7 and throttling works as intended up to a turboboost of 3.2Ghz :cool: Geekbench 2.2.7 64bit scored 11159 points (previous score was 6039)

@peterlazar1993 would you mind posting your DSDT; I'm using one myself and i would like to compare them if that's ok with you

Well in my case when i got rid of usb wifi that i used at first, sleep worked right away. Brightness control isn't working on me either but i have Brightness Slider.app installed so i can control screen brightness.

Tried mavericks gold master today on my Fujitsu ah552 and everything went smooth but my keyboard and touchpad are not working for some reason and so i cannot log on to mavericks desktop. Tried usb keyboard but it doesn't work either. UPDATE Everything now works as intended apart from the audio It's an ALC269 chip and although i use the same kexts i used on ML it doesn't seem to work. It's recognised in system report but it is inaccessible in system preferences. I'm using patched appleHDA and DSDT.

Update -> Replaced the wifi with Atheros AR5B195 so now i have airport extreme and Bt. Airdrop is also supported. FN keys all word except from brightness. Also i found out that vga out does not work as intended but hdmi out works like a charm.

Recently i came across this notebook at a bargain of a price so i decided to move on from the old Dell D830 to the Fujitsu AH552/SL. For starters it seems to have all the necesary stuff to be "hackintoshed". System specs are: Intel Core i3 3110 Ivy bridge -> Fully Supported (Native speedstep etc.) Intel HD4000 -> Fully Supported (w 512Mb of ram) Intel HM76 Chipset -> Fully Supported (Usb 3.0, sata 3 etc.) Realtek ALC269 audio -> Partially Supported (Output is ok, Input is recognised but both onboard mic and external seem to have very low input signal or no signal at all) Intel Centrino Wireless -> NOT Supported, needs to be replaced with a compatible half card. Bluetooth -> Fully Supported but since its on the Centrino Wifi card it will be lost upon replacement unless you put a combo wifi + BT card. ALPS Touchpad -> Working but recognised as a mouse (no gestures apart from "tap to click") Installation went smooth an system was up and running mountain lion 10.8.4 shorty after but i had some trouble creating the myHack installer so i need to sort that out and let you guys know about the full procedure. Overall i'm very happy with it right now

the first time i completed the process with edp. from there on i went my way creating my own bootpack with all the kexts i needed and using myhack method everything was working upon first boot. nice!

what i've done is: 1) Install 10.8 using a specific bootpack for the d830 2) Boot normally and update to 10.8.3 (or 4 if u want) using combo update 3) Install and run EDP for D830. optional 4) i did some extra tweaking using a newer version of fakesmc+smbios to boost performance.

herve thats exactly the problem i'm facing. Thinking about replacing it with an apple airport extreme. when you say rebranding you mean flashing a different firmware on the card?

I sucessfully updated to 10.8.4 today, did an edp after the update and everything worked as intended, except for the wifi. After some digging i found out that apple stopped supporting broadcom 4311 natively in 10.8.4 and thus the problem i have.

Why not we write reviews on the laptops we have and the experience we have with them? just a suggestion to ease out on the admins.

I've been reading this forum for 2 months or so, and decided to drop in and say hi. I've been working for quite some time as a proffesional Video Editor on mac pro's and decided to buy a good hackintosh laptop for my home projects. After some digging around i decided that the best laptop for me (and my pocket) would be a second hand Dell Latitude D830 with the following specs: Core2Duo T9300 4gb ddr2 kingston (2x2) thinking about 8 though OCZ Agility 3 ssd + hdd in caddy Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M The laptop came with ML pre-installed but definitely needed a lot of tweaking. Initial boot time was about 2 min in standard hdd. Now it's reduced to >29 sec. I'm pretty happy with it and the community support of course.

since we re talking about updates, i updated from a t7300 cpu to a t9300. The difference is not only noticeable, its HUUUUUGE. So far everything is working flawlessly but i was wondering whether i need to re-adjust anything. One thing that troubles me is the fact that i see sudden spikes concerning the temperature of the cpu. it idles at about 53-55 C but i notice sudden instant increases in the temp of +10 C and immediate drop at idle temp. Is that a problem? should i be concerned?

anyway i installed 10.8.3 from scratch but did not go the edp way this time. Instead i used my tweaked fakesmc+smbios and installed my own extra folder using myhack. Everything worked upon first boot as intended except that i can't see any details concerning battery in system information. I only get a "There was an error while gathering this information." In desktop i can see the battery + the percentage of its fullness. Anyone knows why? when using edp i see the details but this time i thought i would go my way.

@ktazn2k which wireless card are you using? mine showed up just fine but whenever i tried to connect to a network i got a stupid message saying "a connection has timed out". Tried reinstalling my wifi kexts but still got the same message. @Herve If i do a system built i will have to remove extra voodoo kexts and redo the fakesmc+smbios tuning. right?

I have a D830 nvidia 140m model running ML. Started from 10.8 and moved up to 10.8.3 with combo update. Yesterday i noticed a 10.8.4 update from apple and tried it by downloading through the app store. MAJOR MISTAKE because it screwed up everything from wifi (bcm4315) to keyboard. nomatter what i tried i couldn't make my wifi work as intended and noticed a major keyboard lag. (sometimes i had to press the keys twice in order to work). So i went back to the good old 10.8.3. Has anyone else succesfully tried 10.8.4 to their d830?

for anyone that is interested the FakeSMC+MBP5,1 SMBios method works with impressive results. Native speedstep + instant gpu throttling. Also setting the resolution at 1600x1000 window lag is minimised Well done to the restless people who showed the way!!!

you are right they are included in fakeSMC so i removed them but hwmonitor still doesn't show gpu

using fakesmc ver5.1.59 and running ML 10.8.3. just tested MBP5,1 ...no kernel panic this time. Same old good performance just like MB5,1 and 4,1. One thing bugs me though. No matter the SMBIOS, HWmonitor does not give any info on GPU. Only CPU and SSD. Why???
