I have an E7470 with an Alps trackpad. Acidanthera version of VoodooPS2Controller is the stable version but with no gestures. It has basic scrolling with no smooth scrolling. Trackpad recognizes as Mouse. I have been trying to use this SSDT patch to modify for my System but it simply has no effect. Can the SSDT mimic the function of a driver using the ACPI properties ? https://github.com/5T33Z0/OC-Little-Translated/tree/main/05. Hello Dsarch Tested on Found a V7 TouchPad with ID: E7=0x73 0x03 0x0a, EC=0x88 0xb6 0x06 Mouse acceleration slow even when set to maximum. Right click with button not working Tap to drag is not working Erratic behaviour while scrolling(automatically selects text and link) Palm detection is bad

I have two issues pertaining to touchpad which is making very difficult to use in normal circumstances First, while scrolling texts and link are automatically selected ,but even when I disable "Tap to Click" right click button doesn't work. Secondly, while dragging after you lift the finger, the normal behaviour is that the dragging stops but here you have to tap to make it stop. And pointer acceleration is a little slow Can these be tweaked via plist ?

Yes I have similar trackpad My Alps (v7) I had the same behaviour in Arch linux using Synaptic driver, using libinput driver and tweaking the configs file fixed the issue for me. Does anyone know how to edit config in mac ?

Scroll works for me too, but I have erratic behaviour like when scrolling, texts and link are automatically getting selected.

How is your scroll ? I have erratic behaviour while scrolling, texts and links are automatically selected when scrolling. It can't make difference between scroll and tap.

Is it normal ?

It has improved a little regarding clicking while scrolling. Pointer speed and scrolling is still slow though. No Palm Detection or very bad Btw, on my Arch Linux setup, I had the same issue with Synaptic driver but with Libinput driver, It fixed a lot of such erratic behaviours. Maybe you can try rebasing your driver with it. EDIT: No right click, when Tap to click is disabled.
