2.8.3 with fixes in the plist is the one that should be in all the zips...

For issues 1 & 2, did you delete the AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext and the AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext? For issue 3, which zip file did you install voodoohda from?

I just tried to install the VoodooPS2Controller.kext without removing the extensions and it works just the same (mouse teleports to a different location on the screen) as it did when I deleted the kexts. Maybe I need a fresh install? I'll try that later...

Good finds! I will add Update 2 to the Troubleshooting section soon... As far as the GPU clock speed goes, I can't really test/do anything right now. My laptop isn't with me ATM. I will try ASAP to test/troubleshoot the issue. Welcome to the site, Dan! Congrats on getting your machine up and running! Glad things are working out for you! I will link to your post in the Troubleshooting section soon. As for the trackpad, I will also try and replace the deleted kexts ASAP and see if it changes anything. That means you had Intel Graphics, which I overlooked. Sorry about that! My mistake. I will add that to the 10.8.4 guide soon.

For the wireless issue, see the bottom of the first post and replace the airportd file. As for the kext errors, I will have to check out the logs later...

Those kexts should be the only ones you need to replace. I hung at the same place when booting in verbose mode after updating to 10.8.4, so maybe I uploaded the wrong kexts. I'll try re-uploading the kexts from my system asap.

10.8.4 Update Guide (as requested by infamousdice ): NOTE: This guide assumes you are on 10.8.3 and can boot successfully to a usable system. Download the OS X Combo Update from Apple's Support page Download the AppleAHCIPort & IOAHCIFamily Kexts found below Extract the two kexts to the desktop Open up Kext Wizard and move to the "Installation" tab at the top Drag the two kexts to the white box, select "/System/Library/Extensions", and check off the box to backup replaced kexts DO NOT CLICK ON INSTALL YET! Now, navigate to the Combo Update & mount the image Install the Combo Update (could take anywhere from 20-50 minutes When the update finishes installing, it will ask you to restart. DO NOT RESTART! Bring up Kext Wizard again, and now click the Install button When it finishes installing, move over to the "Maintanence" tab up top Select /System/Library/Extensions, and Execute When finished with all that, reboot! NOTE: If you have Intel graphics, please delete the AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext & AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext from /System/Library/Extensions BEFORE you reboot! The only reason you would setup Kext Wizard first is to save time. I have noticed that after installing the Combo Update, the machine responds VERY slowly. As far as I know, the DW 5540 doesn't work with OS X. I believe you would need to get a DW1510/BCM4322

Hey inedible, After some use with the new driver, I was wondering if it is only me or you as well that has the following problem: Every time I move the "nub" a little bit, wherever the cursor lands, it jumps to a spot an inch away about half a second after I stop moving it. Also, I cannot click and drag/select text using the "nub" to move the cursor and the touchpad left/right click buttons (the ones closest to you) to click and hold.

In addition to replacing any kexts mentioned in the latest Edit (see the first post), remove all the PS2 related kexts (like ApplePS2Controller.kext; I believe this is the only one, but you should double check anyway) from S/L/E. As far as bluetooth goes, I don't have bluetooth module, however I believe alerphjuan did, and he was the one that got it working. When you connect your monitor, in "System Preferences", if you select "Displays" and hold down the "Windows Key", does clicking "Detect Displays" find your monitor?

This laptop is not too bad with games. I too was surprised at how smooth some of the games that I played (Call of Duty, Need for Speed, etc.) ran under Windows. Haven't tested the Mac side too much but after reading your post I think I'll have to! Try install the latest version of Chameleon or chimera (chameleon, stolen and rebranded). I would try chimera (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) first (from the E6410 ML.zip) and then go to Chameleon if that doesn't work for you. Great work! I just tried it and it works beautifully! I will update the guide soon... Somewhere between all the Apple updates, the way the OS handled disks (and other components) changed a little bit. This is why certain kexts have to be replaced with older versions or patched.

Congratulations! Before the message appears, were you able to select all the MyHack settings (remove three kexts, use your own Extra folder)?

Try the 10.8.4 wifi fix by replacing the airportd file with the one in the first post... And no, the Broadcom kext shouldn't effect the ethernet speed/connection. I have the same kexts in the same configuration and my ethernet works fine.

Hello coldsun1187, I am glad you got 10.8.4 working on your E6410. Thank you very much for the additional notes for other people! I will be sure to add them to the guide. For the ethernet issue, have you tried removing and re-adding the ethernet service under System Preferences -> Network? And yes, this machine is a great Hackintosh. A HacBook Pro most definitely! It's blazing fast, especially with an SSD. Also, mine ran quite hot once upon a time, but after I cleaned out the fan and applied some fresh thermal paste (thermal squares would work too), it ran much cooler and the fan runs at the lowest speed, unless I am doing any cpu/graphics-intensive work.

Speedstepping does not work on the E6410 using the methods I've tried when I first set it up (Patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement/Delete nullcpupowermanagement, and using kernel extensions from multifail). And my fan doesn't run all the time, although like you, the hw.cpufrequency, hw.cpufrequency_min and hw.cpufrequency_max are the same... Also, when idle, the system seems to cool down after a while. Do you have the fan set to always run in the BIOS? Are there any error messages that pop up when the applications(s) crash(es)?

Yes, that seems to be my bad. It should be about 300KB, not 0. Looks like MacDrive has failed me this time! Anyway, I've re-uploaded the file to my original post. As for your "boot0:error", what are you formatting the flash drive as (partition system and format)?

I had the same exact issue, but thought it might only relate to my configuration. I'm glad you posted your issue here! Anyway, the solution is quite simple (at least it was for me!): All you need to do is replace the "airportd" file in "/usr/libexec" with the one from 10.8.3. I've attached my airportd from a 10.8.3 backup below. airportd.zip EDIT: Don't forget to reboot after you replace!

Chameleon/the boot.plist edit won't change the resolution on the secondary monitor (as far as I know). It only affects the resolution of the built-in monitor. As far as your secondary monitor goes, I would hit up google and find the maximum supported resolution that it will handle. You may be surprised and 1400x900 may be the highest! It's happened to me before... If the resolution that's supported is in fact higher, post back here and we'll try and help you out.

If you go to System Preferences (in the dock) and then go over to Displays, on the secondary monitor, you can select the resolution that best fits the display or manually select one based on your personal preference.

Which wireless card do you have installed? If you have the same one that came with the laptop (which I believe was Intel based), it won't work. You'll need the Broadcom BCM4322 instead, which you can find for pretty cheap on eBay & Amazon. Alternatively, you can use an external micro wireless USB adapter, like the Netgear G54/N150.

Hello & welcome to the forums sjwgator! It looks like you've made some steady progress! When you reboot, if you get the blinking cursor, try and reboot from the flash drive and select the hard drive you installed OS X on through chameleon.
