Aduio Sleep Wireless 10.6 do Not work OOB Webcam does, but may be temper mental. actually that was simpler than i expected and found something that worked right off, devcon. the command was: devcon find pci\* and here is the file of the output. devcon.txt

ok, i'll reboot to windows and copy the info, ironic you mention QE/CI and junk video, the D630 i had 10.7-.8 on was terrible for netflix and games ran ok, this one actually does the effects a lot better too, i think i just need to get x3100fb working with the kext i found for this version and if i get some kind of support i'll be happy, but i am still kind of proud i got this far none the less and surprised some of my ideas worked, reinstalling 10.6 over 10.6.8 actually rolled it back and gave me a functioning system again. it will probably be tomorrow night before i get it posted for pci information, i wonder if there is a utility i could use that pulls all of the information at once since i am not sure what you need to know exactly, but thanks herve. post the info in a bit.

What is preferred to use to get PCI information. Also installing 10.6 over the previous install got me back up and running and I didn't lose my stuff lol

Game and animations work, just videos, I can use windows for other games and media, I just deleted the caches and sleep enabler again, but it locks up, so pro ably just reinstall 10.6 over it and test my luck. I would like to finish this project up, eventually some one will come up with a permanent fix, so can we move on to dsdt patching and not worry about video playback. Kind of become obsessed here lol. Also planning on building a new high end desktop in a few months, so this is primarily for learning how mac works and what not.

No had to use a hack, neverball seems to run ok, only tried windowed, have all effects working smooth, just all flash items load but not play in Firefox, safari I had stuttered sound and no video. Forgot, frontrow was black screen or I didntvwait long enough. If you have had a chance to look over my kext files, I believe a newer sleepenabler would get past the kernel 23 < 24 pmVersion thing or a custom dsdt, when I used edp installed only last time I only had to -v to reach the desktop, kind of at a loss and about to go into work, waiting for a reply from the x4500 project in hopes of a better kext or something. If you have any how to on kext and dsdt editing in mind I would like to read them and get this working on 10.6.8 at minimum, 10.6 was ok and daily usable.

I believe i had full QE/CI, but netflix and youtube both just black screen, generic myHack kext with sleepenabler and a few others, the kexts I was using are in the Extra folder I provided for download in my other thread. I am currently stuck trying to get past the KP, full screen resolution with cham boot hack, using myHack cham still. GraphicsEnabler is set yes. resolution is also set in com.chameleon.boot.plist. ok i need help, still have the sleep issue, removed the kext and it still has the issue, i think it is time to patch a dsdt for 10.6.8 and hopefully get this thing right. so anyone willing to help, researching it and patching is confusing to me at the moment.

Updates I think updating airport utility causes an issue, so avoiding that and trying the 10.6.8 combo update, will report back if it works and does not have issues with booting or wifi like last time. Kernel Panic, -v and -v arch=i386 no effect. ------------------------------------------------------------ Updating to 10.6.3 with the 10.6.3 combo update worked smoothly, just run myHack and remove problematic extensions before the first boot after updating. ------------------------------------------------------------ Updating to 10.6.7 from 10.6.3 with the 10.6.7 combo update worked smoothly after replacing SleepEnabler.kext. replace SleepEnabler.kext with this version below https://www.dropbox.com/s/btssmxrjmx8qnya/1413-SleepEnabler.kext.10.6.8.zip run myHack, myFix and install the update, reboot and boot from myHack and remove problematic extensions before the first boot after updating. First off this is like a 95% - 99% complete HackBook, Netflix and Youtube are still borked! Mods please sticky or pin this, thanks. My first tutorial for installing OS X so bare with me, I will be short and sweet and as simple as possible. I do not recommend updating past 10.6.3 at the moment, software should be fine, I updated iLife and remote assistance. My Specs IDT HD Audio Intel x4500MHD Intel Core2Duo (Replaced Stock Core2Duo for VT-X Support) Not Required 4Gb Ram 320Gb HDD (Replaced Bad Stock 500Gb) Dell Wireless 1397 (Broadcom 4312) Model year 2009 Instructions Create your myHack 10.6 pen using 3.1.2 (Included). Copy Custom folder to your myHack pen, run myHack>myFix and select the myHack pen installer. Reboot and install 10.6 When prompted select custom Extra folder and navigate to the Custom folder and select Extra. Remove problematic kexts when prompted, should be only two. Once you have rebooted all should be well, copy Resolution fix or contents to Desktop and follow the README file included. Quartz Debug included, but does not seem to help with Netflix or Youtube issues, on previous install Netflix at the very least showed the media bar at the bottom of the screen. Also maybe forgot to mention, I have copied all files in my /Extra/Extensions folder to /System/Library/Extensions after deleting the original files from S/L/E. Cheers. i haven't gotten anywhere with EDP yet, still working out what kext files help and updating to 10.6.8 messed me up so started over fresh and figured out what messed me up was the LegacyRTC kext and none of the others worked properly so i am gong to have to stay 10.6 until i figure it out further and have proper 10.7 kext files. i now have audio, sleep, battery stuff and everything else working for the most part, thanks to 0sx86.net for such an extensive kext library and who ever made it!, microphone may not be working, but atleast i can hear audio now, i would say for a 10.6 hackbook i am like 90 - 99% complete and all kexts are backed up on my myhack pen! also from what i found to test for QE/CI it is working, but for some reason netflix will not load the player at all, maybe due to flash or something, have to reinstall silverlight and see what happens. after i test these other kext files i just installed and get chameleon looking proper again, i will be posting a zip for all the files i used and some i hadn't tried yet that might also work for sound and microphone and a detailed guide on installing.

ok i've gotten full native resolution and wifi working, i'll post the full details tonight when i get home from work. extracted AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext from file downloaded here used kext helper b7 to install sudo rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache Reboot post natvie resolution info later, finally able to use my wifi, first official post from my 1545 hackbook without using external methods to access wifi XD! Just followed the instructions that are posted with the file. Modified Chameleon 2.0 RC4 also this may be why my dual boot was broken, but i updated to 10.6.8 and it is stuck waiting for DSMOS, so if and when i figure it out i will report back, as soon as i get this going proper, i'll make a seperate topic post to condense and link all the files to my dropbox so anyone else can get them, also i modified the osxlatitude boot logo to osxinspiron to kind of give some credit to you guys. ok, just needed to run myhack and remove problematic extensions, now i just need to figure out the dual boot situation and hope just making the partition active again actually works this time, so booting from my myhack pen for now, but successfully updated to 10.6.8 and deviato posted on insanelymac and left everything needed for 10.6.8! also trying EDP and will report that back as well as use the form, it installed lol. cheers!

I'm thinking if i remove the theme folder it will boot without using the myhack pen and i am guessing when i copied Aurora.jpg and used preview to save it as a png something went wrong. Found the edit button lol I was correct, Aurora.jpg saved as PNG caused the issue. while i am customizing the look, does anyone know how to change the gray slash screen for while mac is booting? also i am trying to get the kext from the bootpack for the d630 to work as wifi worked right away, this is actually my first post from my SL install, had to use my phone to tether for wifi lol.

Sorry about multiple posts, using my phone, apparently snow leopard feels more friendly installing and the wireless left may be why it works this time, been installing for 12 minutes and no lock up generic kexts from myhack, might have to upgrade to lion... ? ok snow leopard installed without a hitch, saw boot0 then windows loaded, so i guess i need to make mac active with diskpart as stated before, then maybe upgrade to lion or leave it as is and change the topic from lion to snow leopard, wish me luck on the reboot... hopefully everything works fine. i am glad to report with good news, booted fine. what works: my camera works fine keyboard and mouse what seems to work: video acceleration, no idea how to find out for sure, i have transparency effects on finder bar menu panels and the dock right click menu. ethernet port what does not work: sound wifi sleep unknown: anything else important i didn't think to check the wifi kext seems to have been installed, but wireless is undetected and wondering if i should copy the newest cham bootloader over from the d630 boot pack, my video resolution is 1024x768, known maximum resolution is 1366x768. also now i am up and running should i try edp? edit: no internet, no edp! so come on guys, i know your all smarter with this than i am, lets get this laptop cracked and on the bootpack list so next time i install it will be easy for me and someone else that wants this lol updated chameleon bootloader, worked fine, changed some images and ran myhack to fix permissions and memory allocation error, wonder if it is because i set the resolution to 1366x768x32 lol, nope restored from the backup and added theme support to the original and same issue, reinstalled from myhack pen and same issue, how do you fix a memory allocation error with chameleon? i'll probably try to update to lion tomorrow, tired and a little frustrated, going to bed.

Ok the wireless kext either didn't work or the installer didn't use it. Tried arch=I386 and ehciacquire=yes and still only locks up while installing now.

IOAPCI something somthing vectors so one of the kexts is messing me up, maybe try with generic extras and add the wifi kext and see what it does.

i'm actually not sure which file it is, but in the Dell_Latitude_D630-intel-lion.zip bootpack somewhere i am sure the kext for this wireless card is since both the d630 and this laptop have the 1397 so my idea to try that and see if the installer locks up still has been delayed, to be honest i think i still have no clue what to do. actually i think i will try to figure out which kext is the x3100 video card, remove it and try the d630 bootpack. scratch that, i think i will just try the bootpack as is, since i have not found any reference to the video card or wireless, just a BCM5722D.kext.

Had an idea, based off your question, so I am going to take the wireless kext from the D630 boot pack and see if it helps get install working properly and maybe by then you will have said something Hervé.

Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 x64 (D630 pull for vt-x) AHCI Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card (same as D630 so compatible / maybe with kext) I should be fine running on this laptop, i used EHCIacquire=Yes -v -f and it worked better until Disk Utility went to unmount the partition I have prepared for Lion.

Tried making a new usb and still get lockups, with -v -f -F -x doesn't matter just locks up.

Ok, got everything setup and going as far as preparing to install, but between 17 and 12 minutes remaining on install the system locks up, boots fine to the installer and everything there works right up to installing the system. Any ideas on why installation locks up? Now locks up while booting to installer.

Ok, finally got VMware to work with the image I've had, just had to re-extract it and use my older version 8.x since my new one 9.x wouldn't work with the virtualization bypass. So, hopefully tomorrow or tonight I will finally get into the nitty gritty of getting this laptop 100% with your knowledge and expert advice, thanks again for creating this site, I for one would be lost without it. I take that back, it still will not work with software virtualization, guess I will just have to pull my old laptops cpu and swap them. :/ Surgery complete, hope this works now lol
