  1. Dw1520 works good on my e6420 with this Clover patch. In Clover Configurator, KextsToPatch: Find: 4D61632D32453646414239363536364645353843 Replace: 4D61632D39343234354133393430433931433830 Comment: DW1520 Whitelist Patch (MBP8,2)
  2. Sure, here you go. ssdt.aml_6420_2520m.zip
  3. Did you try these steps? https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8368-e6420-intel-hd3000-el-capitan/?p=54915
  4. Yes, as has already been stated, lan adapter must be en0. Remove all network devices from System Preferences/Network. Delete in library>preferences>system configuration> NetworkInterfaces.plist file. Turn WiFi switch off, or remove wifi device. Finally, Reboot. After reboot, go to System Preferences/Network add devices. Click (Ethernet) FIRST!! Then add the other adapters you use to connect to the internet or Bluetooth, WiFi.
  5. Sorry, meant to say, Slide=0, plus a checkmark in Intel in Graphics section. I see you have both in your config.
  6. What are you using for your boot loader on the USB installer. If you cannot get into the bios, how can you tell it it is set for legacy boot or not? My 6420 was set as legacy boot as default. Is your 6420 trying to boot from the usb installer? Even if your bios is set to EFI boot, I believe you should still be able to use Clover Bootloader, and at the Boot menu, choose boot usb installer from EFI.
  7. Okay, looks like I just about have this install done. Yosemite 10.10.5 Clover. Generated a SSDT with latest ssdtPRGen.sh. I had to change from SMbios 5.2 to SMbios 8.2 to get SpeedStep working. Changing to SM8.2 meant that my Dell DW1520 WiFi stopped working, so I needed to add a Clover Kext Patch for the AirPortBrcm4360 to get my Dell DW1520 WiFi working again. In Clover Configurator, KextsToPatch: Find: 4D61632D32453646414239363536364645353843 Replace: 4D61632D39343234354133393430433931433830 Comment: DW1520 Whitelist Patch (MBP8,2) SpeedStep now Working, along with: Sleep Battery Status Dell Dw1520 Wifi HD3000 Graphics with 1600x900 HD+ LCD now working without picture artifacts. (Boot Arg Slide=0) HDMI Touchpad (Trackpad), with Double-Tap, and Two Finger Scroll Onboard Dell375 Bluetooth OOB SD Cardslot Seems to be a very functional Hackntosh. I might leave it alone for a week or two, and then try to install El Capitan.
  8. @Jake Lo Solved with your patched DSDT and the latest RehabMan ACPIBatteryManager.kext. Thank You! RehabMan-Battery-2015-1109.zip
  9. Found a solution to the Video problems. Seems that this is an issue with HD3000 Yosemite/El Capitan, and Clover. The fix is: Boot Arg: Slide=0, and Inject Intel.
  10. Here is a sample of the LCD screen, artifacts distortion. Sometimes it can take up most of the screen, requiring one or more reboots to remove, and distortion can return at any time.
  11. Thanks! The battery status is now working. Now only need to figure out why this LCD acts crazy sometimes. I will try to get a screen shot when it does it.
  12. Almost have this working with Dual-boot Yosemite, Windows 10. Have a couple of issues to clean up, mostly battery status. Battery status still not working. Will come on once in a while. Unplug power adapter It show the "X" then sometimes LCD will dim and bat status will work, but then a few seconds later, lcd screen will go back to bright, and bat status is gone. So, lcd screen is not always dimming with AC unplugged, will dim, and then go bright every few seconds. EDIT: This seems to have stopped? LCD will sometimes pixelate badly on boot up, and need to reboot to fix. Will also pixelate and have lines on LCD during use. 1600 x 900 HD+ LCD, HD3000, i5-2520m Using Dell DW1520 Wifi, so I changed smbios to Macbook Air 5.2 (not sure if that matters). Kexts used from this Guide: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6935-guide-e6420-os-x-yosemite-10100-finalgm-3pb-4/ Using Clover Legacy boot. All kexts installed to S/L/E Using DSDT from this Guide: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7091-dell-latitude-e6420-with-i5-2410m-hd3000-and-1600x900-lcd-mavericks/ Using ssdt from this Guide: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7914-dell-latitude-e6220-with-intel-i5-2520m-hd3000-and-1366x768-lcd-mavericksyosemite/ Not sure if DSDT has this patch: New Way and Regions unchecked. Any help greatly appreciated! DSDT.aml.zip
  13. Not sure where this patch goes. I have managed to install Yosemite on my 6420, using a older guide, a hi res DSDT from Herve's Mavericks Guide, and a ssdt for an i5-2520. Bat staus is not working. Bat status and percentage shows up in menu after boot, but then only has a "X" in the indicator after A/C adapter is removed, and percentage is missing. Now if I can just get bat status, and sleep working.
  14. Can you share the Posts where you got your Clover Folder, DSDT and Kexts? I purchased an e6420, and will have it in a couple of days. I am trying to get a head start. I am reading many posts, but it seems like info for e6420 is spread across many posts with no definite guide. Maybe I am wrong?
