there is a problem with my touchpad that i use v3.8
sometimes i must boot windows once and then boot mac and the touchpad could work in mac
for example
1 if today first boot computer and first come into mac，the touchpad would work
2 if the touchpad could work now， then reboot mac and it would still work
3 if the touchpad could work now，then shut down mac，then press the power button to boot mac again and the touchpad would not work，but in this kind of situation， i boot windows once and reboot into clover to choose mac to boot ，and the touchpad would work again
What is your notebook model and specifications? Do you use any patched DSDT and kernels? Let me see an ioreg file.
How does it works with Generic ApplePS2Controller (or) VoodooPS2Controller driver which make your touchpad as mouse only?

Did you add your id's to my kext plist? Can you send me your ioreg and System log files?
EDIT: I've searched about your device id and found that it doesn't require any firmware update, so you don't need to use my kext. It should work with standard Apple Bluetooth drivers (or) Broadcom driver if its broadcom branded card by adding device id to the kext plist.

Seems like it failed at the end which happens sometime randomly.What is your boot loader? Does this happens always in every boot? Can you send me your ioreg and System log file so i can look for additional details?

just try to use the 3.8 version both on a fresh 10.9.3 install and a 10.10 dp1 install with no success other than that old crazy behavior where when i try to move the cursor, it keeps changing screen and clicking randomly without control. this start happen in all releases after 3.5.
you must be changed something after that version. please tell me how can i help to make it work for me and others with samsung ativ book 4.
that is some badass driver right there and i really dont want to stay on 3.5 and without sleep.

Well, seems like this is your touchpad only issue as my new versions are working and made to work with many new touch pads, so some of those changes might not be good to your touchpad which I need to debug and see this. PM me for a debug session.

Hi, mine is a Samsung Ativ Smart PC pro (xe700t1c) running mavericks.
It has a keyboard dock detected as "USB Keyboard+SmartPad".
I've tried every versions of your drivers but found no luck. I don't know why the drivers didn't work;
probably because I have a USB touchpad and your driver is PS2.
It would be awesome to have usb smart pad support. Thanks.

I installed v3.8 to my notebook. And i got a issue with 2 finger scolling. It scroll too slow although i set it to fastest. I hope you can fix it in v3.9.

Strange, my scroll in v3.8 is perfect and it does scrolls based on your speed level and finger strength. Did you modify scroll acceleration modes and see in plist? What is your notebook model?

Ok once again... I'm saying I don't care about Taps, I care about SECONDARY 2F CLICK (like "Right" button click) which DOESN'T WORK.
You are confusing me and i still don't get your problem exactly. Let me explain few things. You see "Clicking" from Trackpad prefpane enables Taps. So, if you want to 2F Tap to work as Secondary click then you need to enable this "Clicking" otherwise won't work. You can get secondary click from Right button of bottom virtual buttons as well. 2F-5F Click(with button press under the pad) is equal to 2F-5F press feature i have but this is not meant to work as secondary click (it has some bugs and my next update fixes this) and only 2F tap is meant to work as Secondary click in my driver just like Apple(it was a bug in the old versions about this "clicking" and its fixed in v3.8). If you explain what exactly you want then i can consider to implement if possible and make sense in the next update.

Hi again, just one thing:
Is there any way to remove the vendor keyboard layout and restore the apple keyboard layout OR to modify the keyboard config kext to make brightness functions keys work again? (I have a Lenovo laptop, which is not listed in the allowed vendor values list
)When I press fn + f1 or f2 (fn functions to level up/down brightness) the screen turns off (I can turn it on again pressing fn+f6)
Brightness function keys don't work pressing fn + f14 and f15, and when I try to modify appleps2keyboard.kext in /contents/plugins nothing seems to change too.
I've read the keyboard config post too many times and I don't know if I'm missing something...
Anyway, apart from that everything works great, congrats for all your work EMlyDinesh.

Is this about your real Fn key (or) my simulated Fn key? Please explain more about your problem.

ok guys, i've found a more easy solution for my dv6821el... just unload and reload applehda after sleep and voilà , it works!!
Its known fix and not a good solution as we need to manually do this or use script after sleep. My kext fixes automatically and also other issues many faces.

Hi, just to inform you that your kext works well on the last Zenbook UX32LN (Haswell Core I5-4200U, Nvidia Optimus disable in DSDT). However, one question (someone asked also about some times ago) : there is no possibility to enable bezel when you use Fn Keyboard Backlight key ? The other ones work well (screen and sound) but it is perhaps because we use "native" Apple kext for that ?
Nope, we can't get bezel as far as i know so far. It might be possible only if we use the Apple keyboard backlight driver which is not possible/easy to get it working.

According to your logs i see only old versions of my driver which has some problems like yours. Please PM so i can give you latest build and debug your problems.

Hello, EMlyDinEsH, your driver is very good, but there are some little, but irritating bugs like moving cursor when double clicking. But elan touchpad looks very similar to native Apple trackpad. Have you tried to implement an interface like AppleUSBTrackpad.kext does, so it can be supported natively by AppleMultitouchDriver.kext and provide all smoothness and multitouch gestures like Apple magic trackpad.
Well, that bug of cursor moving with double clicks is due to the sensitivity levels of the touchpad. It happens only at the regions close to the edges. PM me so i can try to improve this with a debug session if you can help me with beta testing.
And its not possible to interface this with Apple kext, because we don't know nothing about how the that driver works and interprets the data due to closed source. I'll try to look for any possibilities in future but for now i don't see anything as far as i know.

Hi, I have in my pref pane "Clicking" unchecked, that mean I have to click trackpad - no Taping, right?Have checked "For secondary click, place two fingers on trackpad, then click the button"
This is my ApplePS2Elan.kext Info.plist Preferences:
In this case I would expect I can have contextual menu, right click, (secondary click) done using 2F Trackpad Click (not tap), correct? But nothing happen. Only Control+Click works for this.
If you disable "Clicking" then taps won't work and i've explained these in features thread, so please go through that once.

don´t load in kernelcache .. always omitting that kext .. the btuploader kext no problem .. only the other .. and if i stay the kext installed .. i lost the wifi
i use also ur kext for elantouchpad .. that one last rev is working very good

Sorry, i did not get the problem with plugins kext. Please explain and try to install that kext inside plugins normally like another kext instead of from plugins and see. What is your boot loader and what boot flags you use?

Version 3.8 lost functionality for 2F Secondary click?
Hi, have problem with this feature, 2F Tap works ok, but when Tap is disabled, 2F click does not. Works like normal single 1F click. Cause I don't use Taps, the only way to get secondary click is using Control+click.
Any idea what could be wrong, and how to fix it?

You mean "Tap trackpad using two fingers for secondary click" is disabled? If you disable this then the secondary click will be performed by 3F Tap which i've already explained in the features thread. This option is only two swap 2F and 3F Taps functions. Please read my features explanation thread for details.
You can perform secondary click using right button also. Which hardware version you have?

My question is that your Elan Touchpad driver hosts keyboard driver. This "internal" Elan Touchpad keyboard driver can be configured for an Asus keymap. So, what is the added value of the Fn Hotkey Driver for Asus Netbooks if we compare it with Elan kext configured for Asus keymap ?
That Asus Fn keys keyboard is for my AsusNBFnkeys driver because fn keys can only be generated through keyboard API. You don't need to touch/config that keyboard.

Updated OSX to 10.9.3, along w/ your latest release, and everything is working on my machine *except* FN+F9 no longer disables the trackpad
Using your latest Elan text as well, Asus N56VM. All other function keys appear to be working, except for the screen brightness.
Any help is appreciated.
You are using Fn keys 2.3.5 and ELAN v3.8? Do you have any changes in plist for both? What happens if you try Fn + F9 and Fn + F5/F6? Send me an ioreg file and System log so i can take a look.

I got everything working. I don't know what I changed before that was making it kernel panic. It's been a while since I updated this driver, so I moved straight from 2.x something to 3.8... All I can say is wow. @EMlyDinEsH you really outdid yourself here. My touchpad feels like a real mac.
Just a couple of things... Inertia scrolling works great, but scrolling without lifting my fingers is pretty slow. Is there a way to change the curve or something so that it's just a little faster when I'm not inertia scrolling?
Also, I'm wondering if it's possible to use it with my thumb on the bottom of the touchpad. This is how I use my macbook most of the time. Currently with the elan touchpad it just sees it as another finger so it thinks that I want to scroll. Perhaps there could be either a thumb detection setting or just an option to block a specified area at the bottom of the touchpad from receiving input.

You can change the scroll speed of without lifting fingers from Trackpad preferences and can set the inertial scroll level in plist. (I will make a prefpane soon which is getting delayed because lack of time due to my busy life, so i need some support from everyone in donation for trying to get more time on my projects).
And the thumb thing is still in work and I'm unable to finish that because lack of beta testers who provide good feedback. If you think can help me with this then PM me for debug session.

I have a problem with various Elan kexts, since 2.x versions to the last version.
The problem is that Elan touchpad sometimes works, sometimes not show arrow, or cannot move that, and sometimes (a little) works.
My motherboard chipset is Intel HM65.

Well, its been tested and its working fine. May be your did not read my features thread about each and some of those features getting conflicts with some features like Edge scrolling etc., when you are operating. I can assure you that its working perfectly and its been tested very well (may have some bugs but not like your not working one).
So, try to use my latest version and tell me what is the last gesture/key press you did before it stops working and the area of the touchpad. Also send me your system log and ioreg file so i can take a look.

The latest version is fantastic and fixes the laggy scrolling i experienced in past versions. One question though, is there any way to disable two finger scrolling whilst leaving edge scrolling functional?
You can disable two finger scrolling from Trackpad preferences. If you go through my features thread then you can understand everything.

I did install kext file using Kext Wizard, but i after restart system, i can't still see any trackpad configurator in the system settings...
Why is that?
Well, if you install the kext but you can't see Trackpad config then you might have not ELAN touchpad (or) other PS2 controller drivers are loading instead of mine. Please follow my how to install steps to install kext by removing PS2 Controller kexts. If you still have issue then send me your System log from Console and Ioreg file(IORegExplorer app v2.1 or lower).

Yes, your Bluetooth (VID: 0x13d3 PID: 0x3295) will work with fake id to bluetooth kext and doesn't require my kext.
