  1. After sleep I lose audio in both my internal speakers and in my headphone. The internal microphone keeps working fine. my codec dump only mentioned EAPD in the headphone and the internal speakers and in the headphone.

PM me for debug session details.

Im a multi boot user (Win7 / Yosemite) and i have a really weird problem with the rear green jack of my board.

When i boot directly into yosemite my sound works perfect but when i reboot from win7 to yosemite i lose sound from rear green which has EAPD.

This great kext works perfect for sleep, i do get sound after sleep but i still lose sound if i reboot from windows to mac

I have to shut down my pc and boot into mac in order to get proper  sound.

And another thing is that i get some errors like:

Dec 15 16:56:49 localhost kernel[0]: EAPDFix: Failed to find Audio device HDEF@1B.
Dec 15 16:56:49 localhost kernel[0]: EAPDFix: Failed to find Audio device HDEF@1B.

Dec 15 16:56:49 localhost kernel[0]: EAPDFix: Failed to find Audio device HDEF@1B.

    but then.....

Can you send me your complete system log and ioreg (use IORegistryExplorer v2.1 or lower) for direct boot and boot from windows cases so i can take a look?  Also share me your codec dump and patched AppleHDA.

  2.

I installed the Kext using Kext Wizard; followed by Repair permissions and Rebuild cache.

    EAPDFix.kext is installed under /S/L/E

Regarding JackSense, if I did't install it, I will have to toggle the volume up/down manually within 10sec after asleep to get sound working. I found that enabling JackSense does the volume toggle effect or similar effect that enables the sound on its own. However, sometime that doesn’t work and i have to reboot to get sound working but that’s 2/10.

    Attached are the new logs/AppleHDA

    LogFile Notes:

    Disabled JackSense/rebooted/saved fresh log/last log entry Dec 13 15:18:05

    Clicked asleep/wake the machine/saved log_after_asleep/ look after Dec 13 15:18:05

    machine_wont_sleep.log.zip

around 16:38-42 I attempted to asleep, but the machine won't asleep.

I don't see anything related to EAPDFix between 16:38-42 and also sleep/wake logs. Its better if we do a debug session so i can get clear idea about your problem and help you as i can't keep up with the forum sometimes. so PM me for debug session details.

  3.

    Update: Please See attachments

EAPD.kext is preventing my machine from asleep. everything works as it should, but when I click on the asleep button the machine wake up right away. i captured the console messages below. attaches is the mod i made to the kext file.  any clue how to fix that? or what config I need to change?

Why did enable JackSense Fix in plist? Try to disable this and install. After booting save a system log file then try to sleep and note down the time of it as well and save the log again then send me both files. Also send me your patched AppleHDA too.

How do you install my kext exactly?

  4. Hi,

I have used this patch successfully before with Mavericks, but since I've upgraded to Yosemite I can't pair any device any more, I can see the bluetooth option on my system configuration, but it's impossible to discover any device.

    I'm using an Asus z97 pro wi-fi

Any directions or suggestiong would be much appreciated.

    cheers

PM me to beta test new build. Explain your issue again in PM and your system log/IOReg file.

  5. I'm trying to get the installer to boot.

I've created the installer following this instructions

Did you try boot arguments -f or -x? See if you can boot without caches. If you still have the issue using those flags also then i would doubt your installer which may be corrupted or not created properly so try to create one again. Use this method: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298521-easy-yosemite-1010-final-usb-installer-updated-10162014/

  6. i am using asus k56cm, and have installed yosemite 10.10, i installed elan kext ver3.8.5 and also v4, but both have the problems:

In the login screen, i double click on user symbol but nothing happen, i must press the left button

When i use my laptop for a while, about 30mins, i have a problem with the draging function, i can drag item but i can not release them. After logging off, or shutting down, or restarting, it works normally

Default 1f tap and dragging are not enabled, so taps won't work other than Left button to click. You need to enable them in Trackpad setting from System preferences, please go through my Read me files and you will understand.

  7. Hi i have a Lenovo G580 with trackpad ACPI\ETD0613, what version should i install on my notebook? because i tried v4,v3 and v2 mountain lion final and when i rebooted my trackpad didn't work (it only works with voodoops2controller but without gestures). P.s. I have Yosemite.

    Thank you for your work!

Send me your System log after booting with my kext installed. Also tell me how did you install the kext and OSX version/bootloader?

  8. hi EMlyDinEsH,

Could you please check why the brightness slider didn't work for me?

My hackintosh is ASUS K56C, cpu core i5 3317U with NVIDIA graphic (disabled) with Yosemite 10.10.

    Thanks.

Your model does not work with DSDT patch as its not enabled in bios, so you don't need this driver. Use either default Apple driver with just regular PNLF patch or ACPIBacklight using rehabman kext and patch.

  9.

I have a realteck bluetooth but with Azurewave vendor id. Is it possilble to work?

    Detailed information is following.

Realtek Bluetooth 4.0 + High Speed Chip

    USB\VID_13D3&PID_3410&REV_0200

    Port_#0006.Hub_#0003

    Edit:

I add the VID and PID by myself. I saw the log in the verbose mode. The BTFirmwareUploader says successfully patch the firmware and the PID and VID in the log is the same as my bluetooth.

However, at the last period of booting, the error log keeps bumping and bumping.

Your device also does not need patches to firmware according to windows driver, so don't use my kext. Just inject the device ids in Broadcom kext to make it work.

  10. Hi all, i own a AW-CEH123H and i just updated SO to Yosemite. Using version 2.5.2 Bluetooth works but it's not stable, after cold or warm boot it may not work, but when it works (about 80% of the time) it's flawless. With version 2.6 Bluetooth doesnt pair any mouse/keyboard, doesn't work at all.

EDIT. I checked again the firmware uploaded at System Info. With version 2.6 I have firmware v14 4096, but with version 2.5.2 I have firmware v14 5575, that's the difference I can see. With the same chipset the firmware loaded on original BT is also different, it's posted some pages before.

PM me your system log and ioreg file with my kext installed. Also tell me how did you install my kext?

  11. hello,

    I just upgrade to Yosemite.

With Mavericks BTFirmwareUploader 2.6 worked fine without any problem.

In Yosemite I can not pair with your wireless keyboard or Magic Mouse and the firmware is not updated as often correctly, but often shows v14 c4096 instead of c5546.

Can you PM me details and System log when it shows up as 4096 instead 5546?

  12.

Hello everyone, thank you EMlyDinEsh for the work here and solving our wireless problems  :-P

I am not sure if I am supposed to write here; as many of you mentioned, Mavericks BT accessory detection is not the same anymore and sometimes not working properly.

I purchased this combo card AzureWave NB290H (using BCM43225HMB chip) but never tried it on Mountain Lion... went straight to Mavericks.

I see inside the kext's plist that my card is not mentioned; my vendor ID is 0x13D3 (5075 decimal) and device ID is 0x3295 (12949 decimal).

Although the BT device seems detected OK by the vanilla system, I cannot "see" or "pair" any BT accessories at all, either mouse or keyboard (Apple/Logitech).

I address this to you with the hope you can guide me if you have any ideas, as to:

    a--if it makes sense to add this device/vendor to BTFirmwareUploader kext;
b--if using your BTFirmwareUploader on vanilla installation/kexts, will produce any results.

It's reported that this AzureWave NB290H (BCM43225HMB chip) card works out-of-the-box but not for me, with regard to Bluetooh... I've been battling with this BT device for days now.

Please note that with vanilla Apple kexts, the BT device is detected but upon each reboot, it takes time to be activated, i.e. the menubar on the right shows a broken B icon and 2-3 mins later, max, it appears. Turn BT off option is disabled. Dunno if others face the same issue.

By adding the device/vendor ID in the Info.plist of the BroadcomBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport plugin in IOBluetoothFamily.kext, I have active BT device upon each reboot immediately and I can now "turn off".

However, by no means I can link to any BT accessory, mouse or keyboard and there is nothing I can inject in my DSDT, hence my turn to EMlyDinEsh's kext for assistance.

    Many, many thanks.

Your device does not need any patches so don't use my kext and just inject your device ids to Broadcom Bluetooth kext which should make it work. Also try to delete bluetooth plist and reboot then try to pair.

  13. on my acer with elan v.3, the kext 4.0 does not work well, so far for me the best version is 3.8.0

this driver cause reboot on my n550jk..i have the clover configuration for n550jv model...if i delet elan kext os x boot without keyboard backlight but touchpad doesn't work...please help me

    Hi,

Thank you for this great Driver! I use 3.8.0 on my Acer E1-571-6854 and this works on Yosemite.

Except I can't map my Left and Right arrows keys to set the Brightness control. Can you explain to me how?

(version 3.8.5 & 4.0 both do not work)

    Thanks again!

    RJM

PM me with details of your bug and how did you install my kext and edits in plist so i can fix them.

  14. Hi. I got some issues..

    First:

I having issues with the 2 fingers scroll..

I have disabled 2 Fingers Continuous scroll but still get the effect. It keeps scrolling when I don't release my finger.

    Second:

Edge Swipe. I disable the edge swipes except the right edge. I set it to Notification centre.

It can open the Notification Centre (swipe from outside to touchpad) but I can't close it back (swipe from touchpad to outside)

I have to re-swipe it again (swipe from outside to touchpad)

Can you fix/re-add the vice-versa swapping? Thx.

    Third:

I can disable the touchpad by using Context Menu + F9 (On ASUS A46CA).

But when I press Esc, the touchpad is re-enabled.

    Thanks for the driver.

Hope you can fix these soon.

    Thank you.

I'll fix those issues asp, PM me with details about this bug for beta test.

  15. Kernel Panic all the way in!

Acer Aspire 5733 here, 10.9.5, deleted ApplePS2* kext, deleted VoodooPS2* kext, repaired permissions, rebuilt cache and ignored kernel cache.

    Tested Versions: 2.8.3/3.8.5 final.

    Booting with -v results:

Sometimes just freezes after detecting Elan hardware (v2) then "elantech: retrying ps2 command 0xe6" , and sometimes kernel panics after the same line.

Dunno what's happening, atm I'm running on Voodoo because at least, I'm able to run (even if it's pretty broken can't move windows, selection not working and so on) the touchpad to navigate in OSX.

Would like to know how I can support, and, if possible of course, how to solve :P

    Have a nice day everybody.

    Hi,

I have used the driver since 3.8 until now 4_FINAL, in my laptop Asus X450JF. So far it worked, sometimes (very rare) it stopped working, i don't know why, just restart the osx and it worked again.

There is one issues that keep bothering me in whole time, that is continuous 2 finger scroll. It can't be disabled. I change in the plist, it doesn't have any effect. It still enabled. In the plist it written as: "Continous2FingScroll", but in the documentation it written as: "Continuous2FingScroll". I tried to rename it as the documentation, but still doesn't work. (I wish the source code is open, so i can fix it myself). Thank you for your hard work on this driver. I hope i'm not bugging your time too much :)

nb: If i scrolling using 2 finger but not release my finger it will in continous scroll mode, so everytime i want to scroll i must release my finger, so that the page stop scrolling.

I'll take a look at this and fix it asp. Sorry for not sharing source code but i have some plans which i wish to finish before i share the code with proper documentation. PM me for beta test.

  16. we have taken down to verify them and update asp. I'll take a look at your model this weekend and update it. Please give me a reminder in PM if you don't see the files. Sorry for the inconvenience. Soon we have more people working on EDP so it will be updated faster for every model and new models.

  17. @everyone, New version v4 is uploaded in first post. After installing the driver, please read my Readme files (or) all the threads that covers features. If anyone still has any issues then PM me. Also i would request everyone to consider a small donation to my work if possible, so i can spend more on this driver to improve them.

Thanks for the all people who worked with me on beta testing and donated to me.
