  1. Ok, you had a crash but is it always the case? In my case (and I would guess Jake too), kp is instantaneous when trying to wake the computer. And it's always the same kp with something related to acpi, in my case at least. The only thing that we don't share in common with you is the CPU: yours is an Haswell-refresh (4790) and ours are Haswell first iteration (4770). I also had BIOS 0A20 and now, 0A22 and the bug remains...
  2. Well, layout-ID 15 indeed switches automatically when you insert a cable in front or on rear. For the lower volume on the rear, I've posted a support request on the AppleALC InsanelyMac support forum. Maybe it is embedded in the chip... EDIT: Sound is lower too on the rear under Windows 10. However, maximum sound is louder in Win 10 so headphone outs at max is dangerous but rear output is fine (but louder than OSX).
  3. Looking at AppleALC.kext, there's two layouts for ALC280 (it was made for Dell PowerEdge T20 BTW by a fellow named MacPeet): 13, identified as "manual mode" and 15, identified as "switch mode". Maybe the second one removes the need to manually switching the jacks in Audio Preferences? I'll give it a try when I'll have some spare time. There's also 68 byte Config Data in the info.plist so maybe there is a link with the volume discrepancy between front and rear??? This is where my knowledge ends unfortunately...
  4. Ah, fine. Maybe a setting in the AppleALC kext...? As a sidenote, I was able to ditch completely the DSDT and inject the layout-id 13 in the Clover config.plist (also checked "FixHDA" and AddDGTP"). I also removed "HaltEnabler", "DropOEM", "FixRegions" and "Drop DMAR". It made no change to the KP at sleep/wake with High Sierra unfortunately (obviously, "FixHeaders" is checked)... The settings "HaltEnabler", "DropOEM", "FixRegions" and "Drop DMAR" were needed for Mavericks or Yosemite I would guess Jack? Thanks, Patrice
  5. I hope you didn't used my Clover folder posted here 'cause it's tailored for NVidia card. Be sure to use the files in this link: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6006-optiplex-9020-mavericks-el-capitan-sierra-wip/&do=findComment&comment=66853
  6. Didn't noticed but I was surprised to see that levels were not at max upon installation. Are you sure you cranked the volume at maximum for rear out?
  7. Thanks for the enlightenment. Solved: all jacks working! Use AppleALC.kext lilu plugin and obviously Lilu.kext. Download the following DSDT with HDEF Layout-ID 13 and that's it... DSDT.aml.zip
  8. Thanks, By my minimal searches from yesterday, it appears that different layouts gives different combinations of inputs and outputs. Correct? So, in the case of our 9020's, 3 or 4 aren't probably the optimal values to have at least the rear output working. I also found a thread linking to a YouTube tutorial but the guy (on github) doesn't give any clues. It seems he has all ins and outs working: https://github.com/insanelydeepak/cloverHDA-for-Mac-OS-Sierra-10.12/issues/34
  9. A quick question Jake: why the switch to layout-id 3 instead of 4?
  10. Doesn't work neither with NVidia card... I know that some people have troubles with real Macs and sleep/wake since HS so maybe 10.13.4 will have some fixes... In my case: Dell Optiplex 9020 Haswell not working but no troubles with HS (it was a test only, I reverted to Sierra) on my Gigabyte Haswell board.
  11. Use SwitchResX or ResXtreme and change billion colors to million (or 10 bit to 8 bit in ResXtreme). Unfortunately, the login screen will still be affected by the psychedelic colors...
  12. Is your 9020 able to sleep/wake under HS? Thanks.
  13. Here's my Clover folder...Clover EFI Mars 2018.zip
  14. Thanks for your guide Jake Lo (and sorry to hijack the thread) : https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6006-optiplex-9020-mavericks-el-capitan-sierra-wip/&do=findComment&comment=66853 I'm a proud owner of a 9020 mini-tower i7 4770, 16 gb of RAM, two SSD's, one 1TB mechanical DD and an NVidia GT 710. Works really well with latest Sierra: sleep/wake, iTunes movies with the help of Shiki, Lilu and NVidiaGraphicsFixup. For the onboard audio, I use the AppleALC Lilu plugin in my Clover EFI. I just have the front jacks working but it is enough for me as I also use a Roland USB audio interface. I've modified a bit your Config.plist as the power management wasn't working optimally. The CPU was staying in the 3 GHz range... For the record, High Sierra is a no go now unless you don't use sleep: KP at wake. If you wanna try HS, you have to check "FixHeaders" in Clover Configurator.
