  1. Dear rjjd,

Try to add the following line in the org.chameleon.Boot.plist if it is not already there:-

    Graphics Mode

    1440x900x32

    Kernel

    mach_kernel

    Kernel Flags

    arch=x86_64 pmVersion=0

Again try to download and install EDP 3 to see if it can resolve your keyboard issue. Try to type "sudo su" and then enter your password. After that "chown root:wheel install.sh" and "chmod 755 install.sh". Lastly run it with "./install.sh".

    Cheers!

  2. Dear carbarmo,

If you managed to boot up to the line above it means that your boot up went well. Don't worry that is just os x complaining because the AppleIntelCPUManagement.kext is not loaded.

It seems to me that your gui is not starting due to graphics issues. But i don't think changing cpu would cause that.

Have you tried to boot to other os to check if your system is working fine after the cpu upgrade?

    Cheers!

  3. Dear adrouart,

I believe its the EDP 3. So far my system has yet to KP on me. Previously, I always KP on VoodooHDA.kext every now and then. Further, I believe the EDP crew has added new goodies to EDP 3 to further improve system stability and performance.

    Cheers!

  4. Dear clif,

There are a few ways of doing it. It is the easiest if you can make your new hard disk into an external hard disk for transfer purpose.

Once you have that, you need to create two new partition say 80 gig each on you new hard disk, use disk utility from your installer usb to create an image of the old hard disk to the second partition and restoring it to the first partition of your new hard drive. You can then boot into your new hard disk to test it, delete the second partition and expand your first partition to use the entire new disk. Lastly, install chemeleon to the new hard disk.

Well, that's one way of doing it especially if you don't have a second os system and just the usb installer.

    Cheers!

  5. Dear Jerome,

For your information, there is no major issue when using myhack 3.1 to prepare the usb installer. You just need to run it again to install Extra bootpack for your model downloaded from the Installation top menu above and then run myfix full mode. You also need to boot with mach_kernel arch=i386 -v -f. We have also released EDP 3 which have been improved to work in tandem with myhack / myfix.

    Cheers!

  6. Dear peterW,

Good to hear that your system is up and running.

    Dear jus,

You need to replace the AppleACPIPlatform.kext (look in the forum on this) and install EDP 3.

    Cheers!

  7. Dear rjjd,

Good to hear that you can boot into your new ML installation.

Did you run myfix full mode after installating EDP 2,2? That usually solve a lot of weird issues.

If that does not work, try not to enable sleep enabler and see if your KP is gone. Well, sleep enabler is not 100% stable for Lion and even more so for unreleased version such as ML as not much testing has been done yet.

You should also try EDP 3 as Leon have added lots of new goodies in it. It has automatic myfix built into it. You can look ant leon's topic here :

    Cheers!

  8. Dear rjjd,

From you usb installer, open Terminal under Utilities top menu.

Once you are in command line, type the following:-

    sudo rm -R /Volumes/'Macintosh HD'/System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext

    sudo cp -R /System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext /Volumes/'Macintosh HD'/System/Library/Extensions/

I'm assuming your os x system volume name is Macintosh HD.

After that, run myfix full mode and reboot.

    Cheers!

  9. Dear Gamemasher,

We need more information on whats causing the boot problem. Can you boot with mach_kernel arch=i386 -v -f and let me where its stuck or KP?

By the way, did you replace the 10.7.4 appleacpiplatform.kext? It a known issue with 10.7.4 update. There is a topic on it in the forum.

    Cheers!

  10. Dear rjjd,

Lets try the easy way first.

You can use terminal from you usb installer to transfer the appleacpiplatform.kext from the usb installer's /S/L/E to the new os x system's /S/L/E manually. Are you familiar with command line work?

    Cheers!
