Hello, I have changed the fan of my D630. Everything went fine but now when I start the machine, it is booting alright but doing a hard shutdown after approximately 15 minutes of use if I start the system (Maverick) and 5 minutes if I just enter the bios. I used K5-PRO thermo pasta on the cpu and on one bridge (south one I think), and after checking again I could see that the pasta is well spread around the cpu but not so well around south bridge. I have followed the right procedure to fix the heat sink (1-2-3-4). Still it is crashing. Might it be related to the fact that I replaced the pad on the south bridge with thermo pasta? If yes, could someone tell me which pad should I buy to replaced it? Thanks

Hi all Dell T7500 successfully running Sierra with one problem I have no fans! Darwin dumper (SMC) shows 0 fans present in the system and HWMonitor also shows no fans. This machine was intended to be used as a render machine so obviously this is a huge issue. I am assuming I will need DSDT patches to add the fans? Using my windows partition and RW-Everything I have found the address of the fans (0x1B10-0x1B17) Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this? Many thanks

Hi guys, I have another issue: it seems like the fan never spin after I started using the Hackingtosh on E7450. The laptop gets hot after I use it for a while but the fan doesn't come up. Not sure if I missed anything on this. Should I do something in BIOS? or it's something else? Thanks in advance!

Hello! My Lenovo Hackintosh has its fan almost always running, overheating sometimes. I have to manually fan it to keep it from overheating, though that doesn't help much. I turn on the A/C, fan the computer, and it still overheats. This also happens when trying to install the Mavericks 1.9.1 update. It tells me "3 minutes remaining" under a progress bar and "Software Update". Then the fan accelerates and the computer shuts down immediately This is not the situation in Linux/Windows/Unix. What can I do to get the fan to run normally/keep this thing from overheating? Thanks!
