black.dragon74
@lucasdessyYou may try using a VM to create a installer USB. Google for vmdk of Sierra or High Sierra. Note that VM is not recommended generally but as you have no other option at your disposal this is your lucky pass. Regards

lucasdessy
I've successfully installed the MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 on my thinkpad x201 and, with TheOpSys patched dsdt/ssdt, i couldn't get brightness working. Can you tell me guys if in high sierra the problem solved? TheOpSys said that brightness works but can anyone that have installed high sierra with this guide tell me if brightness really work? TheOpSys
If you just want an easy workaround, you could try Brightness Slider app. Otherwise, follow @black.dragon74's suggestion. Good luck!

Karate_Creeper
Thank you, working great again.Another question:Got the new update working now and running latest version. Is there any way to check battery percentage? I installed FakeSMC addons from Rehab's package and HWMonitor application but I can only see CPU temp, etc. Battery settings in system settings application shows 0% charge left. Any idea what to do? kogetaku
Hello, I followed this method and now I can boot via USB, but when I boot it via SSD, which installed Clover, cannot boot. When I do that, the white apple and indicator appear, but after that it turned into a gray screen. My X201 has i5 560M, 8GB RAM, and 64GB SSD.I've already deleted the DSDT and SSDT's from ACPI/Patched. Please tell me what I should do next...
