Administrators Hervé Posted October 29, 2017 Administrators Share Posted October 29, 2017 Only with both hands. Doing it single-handedly requires some serious level of dexterity!
sambow23
Well I like to play some casual games, so its basically impossible without using the TrackPoint or a USB mouse, which are not that ideal for me.
Administrators Hervé Posted November 2, 2017 Administrators Share Posted November 2, 2017 No issues using the keyboard with one hand whilst moving the mouse with the other on all my Latitude E series with Dr Hurt's Alps driver. But I don't fully understand what you're trying to do!
sambow23
It's okay, I don't need it. Anyway, I don't know how I haven't noticed this yet, but the internal microphone doesn't work. I did check my BIOS to see if it's enabled, and it sure is, I mostly think it's the AppleALC.kext included in the bootpack. Is there any way to fix it? sambow23
I tried out one Dr Hurt's kexts, but it seems to do the same thing with the one I had originally. And the the "Touchpad Settings" throw this error, probably because I'm running High Sierra.
Administrators Hervé Posted November 2, 2017 Administrators Share Posted November 2, 2017 It's stated in Dr Hurt's thread that you need to replace the TrackPad panel by an older version (Maverick's I think). The file is in the thread.
sambow23
Okay I see, thanks. Anyways, what about the AppleALC.kext issue? Would it be easier to switch to VoodooHDA?
black.dragon74
VoodooHDA is not recommended as the first choice, there might be a patched AppleHDA version for the codec you have. Can you please install DPCIManager from here and then post screenshot of the Audio Device section, A typical audio device section looks like this:- Regards
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 2, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 2, 2017 It's IDT92HD93BXX codec support layout-id 12 in AppleALC.kext
