metrobug
Strictly follow the guide Dell Latitude/Inspiron/Precision/Vostro/XPS - Clover Guide , install 10.12.5 on E7240 (i5 4310U, HD4400, 256 SSD, DW1510-removed from E6400) by using E7440 config file, no fail step no surprise all functions working well, big big thanks to Jake Lo. Now a small issue to be fixed, I got this DELL laptop dock connects to DELL P2213 display by DVI port (also available with VGA port). When I put laptop on the dock all the USB and Ethernet ports are OK, but display not working, in the system preference - display I see system doesn't detect the external display, only build in display is available, then I use "Fn+F8" system switch to external display and switch off the laptop display, but it looks like this.... Any way to fix it? PS, connect TV by HDMI it's OK, connect to P2213 with MiniDP-VGA adopter OK but cannot adjust external display display refresh rate. I have another laptop E6420 installed with 10.10.3 (HD4000) totally OK with the dock-display.
Administrators Hervé Posted April 30, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 30, 2018 See post #4 here. Fn-F8 does not work under OS X/macOS; that's limited to Windows and possibly Linux.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted April 30, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 30, 2018 it might not be reading the displays EDID correctly or you might need duallink enabled to 1 in clover config.
