Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 30, 2018 Sleep is not the issue, it's waking it that's not working in HS. Is it working in Mojave? Yes, switch to AppleALC with layout-id
morpheousman
Alright, I give up. What am I doing wrong here? Layout -id 15. Thought I had it correct in dsdt? Or, in config should be no biggie, just devices, inject 15. Still no sound. Edit: Yes, sleep works! Not sure if this matters, I set Darkwake=0, and FixShutdown 9020 Sound .zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 30, 2018 If you have AppleHDA_ALC280.kext in /L/E or /S/L/E, remove it. Make sure you have vanilla AppleHDA in /S/L/E Disable the 3 AppleHDA patches in kextToPatch in Config file. Add AppleALC + Lilu to /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other Repair permissions and rebuild cache
morpheousman
Yup. first one. lol If you have AppleHDA_ALC280.kext in /L/E or /S/L/E, remove it. Sounds working. Thanks you!
ggrpitt
I am trying to upgrade directly from Sierra and it's taking a very long time. Was this a quick upgrade?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 3, 2018 Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2018 No, takes 2 -3 reboots, roughly 40 mins...could be the APFS format conversion.
ggrpitt
Well, it's been over 2 hours and it's still stuck after the first boot. The screen is blank, and there is no progress bar. Is that normal?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 3, 2018 Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2018 Did you upgrade Clover to latest and add ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi to Drivers64UEFI?
morpheousman
Just to confirm, HDMI audio does not work with AppleACL, or do I have something wrong in setup?
ggrpitt
Duh. Forgot ApfsDriverLoader. Problem fixed. Still working on sound, but sleep works fine.
