Administrators Hervé Posted November 2, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 2, 2019 If you're trying to boot Catalina with the same/existing Clover config file that you use for Mojave, then, yes, it's highly likely it's missing the Embedded Controller device renaming. You can safely add it to that existing config, Mojave will still operate correctly with the renamed device.
muttonhead411
Hi @Hervé, Looks like EC patching is already in place, as per your Catalina specific ACPI patches. Still have no idea what else to try to get this working. Here's my Clover folder as well, let me know if you can see something I cant. Or suggest how else I should troubleshoot. Thank you once again CLOVER.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 2, 2019 Moderators Share Posted November 2, 2019 You might have to disable the wifi card in the BIOS until installation is completed to re-enable it.

Thank you, it works for me. But I have no wifi. I have 8265 and 8260 wifi cards. Is it possible to use one of both? If not then which cards usable with macos? SharpSA
Thank you! Unfortunatelly I don't know which wifi card is the best choice. DW1560? DW1820a? DW1830? And where can I buy from these one?
Administrators Hervé Posted November 14, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 14, 2019 DW1830 would not fit and there's no 3rd antenna wire in the 7490 that reaches the WLAN slot. DW1820A is up to you once you've read our many threads/topics related to that model and the associated risks. Obvious recommendation is to go for the safety of the DW1560. Wireless cards are available at the usual well-known (on-line) places selling this sort of equipment; we do not usually provide more information than that; it really is people's own responsibility to source their own hardware accessories, not the forum's, this in order to avoid any potential upset and/or dispute should purchases subsequently turn problematic. I'm sure you'll understand.

SharpSA
I'm sorry, I don't know where can I write: "Not tested: DP over USB Type-C display output" I tested, it works good!
