ahalol
Dear e7470 users, what nvme SSD do you use and how many lanes are you running on? I have ADATA SX8200PNP but it's only running on x2 lanes. Any ideas how I can put it to x4 lanes?

PlutoDelic
From the many questions that i have researched for a similar question, the main slot is x2 unfortunately, although it should be x4. I've read through quite a few dell community threads reporting the same. It could depend on the model, i.e, i have the low-spec i5-6200u. I have windows residing on the main m.2, and it reports x2 lanes speed.
Administrators Hervé Posted November 16, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 16, 2020 Indeed, the E7470 user manual is not crystal clear on the matter: it says "up to 4 lanes" but as stated here or here for instance (and several other Dell forum places), the E7x70 M.2 slot actually runs at x2 only. Unlike other laptop models, it's not related to the CPU type fitted to the E7x70. This would also explain why Dell only offer Class40 SSDs as accessories for these laptops. I guess that closes the matter...
