Dell Latitude 5510: can Big Sur be installed on it?

I think unlike the newer version, this older version needs to disable AppleIntelLpssI2C* from loading by coolstar by adding to kernel / Block

com.apple.driver.AppleIntelLpssI2C.kext & com.apple.driver.AppleIntelLpssI2CController.kext

 

Another way is restore to the latest version and adjust the settings in the VoodooI2C info.plist // I don't know which, you'll have to play around with it

Or replace VoodooI2CHID.kext with VoodooI2CSynaptics.kext

I have no more idea. You could try contacting the developer himself

found something in the log:

 

00:000 00:000 OC: Prelinked injection VoodooI2C.kext () - Invalid Parameter
00:094 00:094 OC: Prelinked injection VoodooI2CHID.kext () - Invalid Parameter

 

looks like i2c and hid is not loading.
