angelts
Would you test that EFI (Serial Number is random) EFI.zip
Administrators Hervé Posted May 21, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 21, 2021 I would stay away from this offered setup; the ACPI patching part is frightening and the patched SSDT tables messy...
angelts
I don't have same machine and just try to make universal EFI (just for test). Maybe is good starting point or maybe no .ACPI patching is copy and paste from Rehabman Mojave Clover guide.
jD_KiD
I crash just before loading the desktop with HEX described in the properties. The computer starts "correctly" (no acceleration) if I don't include the device ID. (12040000)
Administrators Hervé Posted May 21, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 21, 2021 Boot without the iGPU id faking, take an IOReg with IOregistryExplorer app, zip to and post it. A question though: how did you install Big Sur? With what?
jD_KiD
Install Big Sur without acceleration. The image always worked without any data in properties. Anyway I could get it! Use another program to get the EDID. I did the numbering conversion and saw that the final value was different from the one I used the first time: Spoiler 00FFFFFF FFFFFF00 061012A0 00000000 1C160104 B5301B78 226FB1A7 554C9E25 0C505400 00000101 01010101 01010101 01010101 01016621 56AA5100 1E304690 14000000 00000018 000000FC 00694D61 630A2020 20202020 20200000 00FD003B 3C2F3009 01000000 00000000 00000010 00000000 00000000 00000000 000000ED 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 Thank you very much for your time, thanks to this forum I have learned a little more. I'm going to leave the fix so other people can get the acceleration. and proceed with a clean EFI to configure the rest of my computer. Administrators Hervé Posted May 21, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 21, 2021 @wowww Congrats, well done. Which tools did you use to obtain your EDID info and which one got you the adequate one?
jD_KiD
@Hervé The tool you use is called AW EDID Editor. It seems that it also has a version for Mac so maybe EDID can be obtained from installations with a version prior to Bid Sur on my computer. I did it from windows since it was the first time I installed MacOS. EDID Editor
