Amaleic
@Hervé, help me please. I was able to run the installation with the Clover bootloader, but I get the error "The update cannot be installed on this computer".
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 9, 2021 Moderators Share Posted December 9, 2021 did you follow the instruction on the bottom of his guide? Make sure to add -no_compat_check to boot-arg or change smbios to MBP11,1 to install. then switch back to MBP10,2 after it's done
Amaleic
@Jake Lo, yes, of course, I did as the instructions said. Perhaps this is due to the fact that I am using an old version of the bootloader (r5128)? UPD: Wow! Changing the SMBIOS version worked. Before that I tried loading with the -no_compat_check argument and it didn't give any results. Can I downgrade the SMBIOS version after the first reboot during installation? And why change the SMBIOS version?
Amaleic
I was able to complete the Big Sur 11.6.1 install and the Clover r5128 installer. But I can boot from SMBIOS 11.1 because the -no_compat_check argument doesn't work in my case. Where did I go wrong? also, the AR5BHB92 wireless adapter does not work. I tried to copy the IO80211family file to the kexts folder, with which the adapter in Catalina worked for me, but because of this, the system stopped loading. Amaleic
I used your bootpack, but I replaced SSDT-PM with my ssdt.aml (I renamed it SSDT-PM and replaced it). EFI.zip Admin’s MacBook Pro.ioreg
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 14, 2021 Moderators Share Posted December 14, 2021 The brightness patch doesn't seem to be showing in the IOReg file. Try adding this to the ACPI/Patched folder SSDT-PNLF.aml.zip
