adrien240
Hello, I have ALPS trackpad, version 8. All previously files don't work on Mavericks. Is there somebody working on it ? Or any other people who need this kext also ? I really need help please. Currently, I have only the mouse without any scroll, and it is not very easy to use. smoothumut
Hi I have Maverick, I have installed rehabman's alps touchpad driver and it works. But it gives errors on start up log and also none of the multitouch features. also I cant drag any thing it sense it like clicking multiple times accordingly. When I enter 'sudo dmesg | grep ALPS' to the terminal it also gives this message ---- Umut-Macs-MacBook-Air:~ umut-mac$ sudo dmesg | grep ALPS Password: ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint::identify: Found ALPS Device with ID E7=0x73 0x03 0x0a, EC=0x88 0xb6 0x06 Unknown ALPS touchpad, does not match any known identifiers: E7=0x73 0x03 0x0a, EC=0x88 0xb6 0x06 Umut-Macs-MacBook-Air:~ umut-mac$ ---- when I install the v7 driver linked in the first page of this topic, on start up it doesnt give any error. it says ithe touchpad is found . but when mac starts it doesnt work at all. when I enter the 'sudo dmesg | grep ALPS' into the terminal it gives this message which looks normal compared to the above one. but as I said it doesnt work at all. I added the ..daemon.plist to the launchDaemons folder, I have added the VoddoPSDeamon to the bin folder, I removed the all other ps2 kexts. but it doesnt work. here is the message when v7 alp driver is installed ---- Umut-Macs-MacBook-Air:~ umut-mac$ sudo dmesg | grep ALPS Password: ApplePS2Trackpad: ALPS GlidePoint v10.115 ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint: Dictionary Object: HIDDefaultParameters Value: ?? smoothumut
@ahmad: ok. I push my change every week. Let's wait and see... About the v5 or v6, I'm pretty much sure. The naming scheme is not consistent even across the Linux kernel. If people see their touchpad a 'little bit different' from the other, they assign a new number version for it. In the mainstream Linux kernel, yours is a v5. But in some very old commit, yours is a v6, hence there is a confusion @cjin5: Open Terminal, type 'sudo dmesg | grep ALPS' (without the quote), you would see some lines. There should be a line look like this: 3/1/14 5:42:28.000 AM kernel[0]: ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint::identify: Found ALPS Device with ID E7=0x73 0x03 0x0a, EC=0x88 0x08 0x1d This is on my computer, post yours here. Hi sontrg, if you are available to help on this topic, here is what my hackintosh response on sudo command ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint::identify: Found ALPS Device with ID E7=0x73 0x03 0x0a, EC=0x88 0xb6 0x06 Unknown ALPS touchpad, does not match any known identifiers: E7=0x73 0x03 0x0a, EC=0x88 0xb6 0x06 I am using macosx 10.9 I will really appreciate if you can help, Regards
iindigo
I've tested numerous variations of VoodooPS2Controller+etc from this thread on my M4400 and they all produce basically the same result. The trackstick does absolutely nothing. With the trackpad, cursor movement works fine except for jumps when lifting fingers, two finger scrolling works only sporadically, and when moving the cursor, clicks sometimes occur even if tap to click is disabled. ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint identifies the device as E7=0x62 0x02 0x14, EC=0x10 0x00 0x64, the same as mentioned by an E6500 user earlier in this thread. I would greatly appreciate anybody who might be able to help getting this kext to work well with this model of KB/trackstick+trackpad. The kexts used by M4400/E6410/E6500 users at the moment is an old build of VoodooPS2Controller with very poor resolution on the trackstick, no side scrolling, and completely dead middle buttons. The trackpad doesn't even register as a trackpad, it seems to be treated like a generic 2-button PS/2 mouse.

m046238
Bonjour, I am trying to use my trackpad with « two-fingers » gesture on Sony VAIO VPCSA4B4E/X. Current special VoodooPS2Controller.kext work very well except gestures mode. I installed « RehabMan-Voodoo-2014-0228-update » with all described restriction (I read all pages of this Guide). Conclusion. It does not work well with this driver, Trackpad is not recognized, not seen by « Synaptics Trackpad Prefpane». which says « Supported trackpads not found ». When I hit Ok, I have access to the trackpad configuration which crash after any change. In « System Preference » trackpad is detected as mouce with very low (X,Y) resolution. Is there any good experience here with this laptop. I read there that trackpad is PNF0F13 or SNY9014 model (different of Sony Vaio SE) ? Not sure, Alps sure according Sony Vaio Support Windows driver. I have dowloaded all RehabmanMerger and I will try all configurations. I read « System.log » and I dont seen anything concerning Trackpad or PS2 device, even with the actual VoodooPS2controller.kext. How to use « synapticsconfigload » present in certain zip file. Thanks a lot for your attention and you support.
