CruelVampiro Posted June 21, 2011 Author Share Posted June 21, 2011 Recently iv tried leppys method but ive been unable to boot with chameleon RC3 in d620slv1.iso, tried installing chameleon rc5 028 again, but nothing... tried chameleon on EDP 1.8 and nothing. hfs3 Posted June 21, 2011 Share Posted June 21, 2011 Well, I had a go at the WIKI method and this time it worked! Instead of a cheapo 8gb usb stick I used a cruzer 16gb stick. Loaded OSX from stick, downloaded 10.6.7 combo update from Apple site, applied updates - before rebooting installed Chameleon and EDP 1.8. System for D620 Intel; machine rebooted as it should, with full QE and VLC - mkv files play smoothly once again. System Profiler now correctly identifies the Graphics/Display as GMA 950! For thous who cant boot into mac you have to install http://www.kexts.com/view/1348-chameleon-2.0-rc5-r1000.html this chameleon version and in options choose: chamelleon EFI hfs themes extrasoy And boala! after reboot you ll have Boot + full QE/CI i dont know why but tha solves the problem. dawntodon Posted September 10, 2011 Share Posted September 10, 2011 that's great that you got full qe/ci working with your GMA950. One thing of note for people who have used leppy700's cd image and trying to use EDP over it: that won't work unless you remove the Extras folder created by leppy700. The following worked for me: 1) boot using the leppy700 boot cd/usb flash stick 2) remove Extras folder 3) run EDP package to your specifications and then voila, I was good to go.
