RobertB
I have done a new installation of my D630 system. I have used the EDP2.2 and it works like a charm The mouse pad does work and also the pointer between the key's. The system is now at 10.7.2 When I run a Geekbench I see that the processor is tested at 2.01 GHz instead of 2.2 GHz it can run on. The PstateMenu also gives in the list a maximum of 2013 MHz. The CPU in my system is the T7500 possible of doing 2.2GHZ. Is there something I have to set or select to make it run when required the full speed? In the SMbios I can not find a line that would limit the system speed. Do I have to set something in the BIOS of the Dell so it can run the maximum speed. thanks,
lynchmv
So, I got almost everything working on my Latitude D630 except for sleep. EDP 2.2 did a great job of installing Chameleon and allowing me to boot directly from the disk instead of my USB drive. One thing that is more of an annoyance than anything, my wifi card shows as the ethernet port, and the ethernet port shows as the wifi card. Is there a way to correct this? lynchmv
delete them and or rename them. Doh! Well, there's a big DUH for me. I had looked at the properties of the connections earlier and hadn't thought to just rename it. Thanks.

When I tell the system to go to sleep it works just fine but it will not go to sleep based on the energy settings. In the end I use pleaseSleep and then it does work just fine. I also have the problem with the WiFi and Lan I will do the same.
ovi1
i am trying to install Lion on D630/X3100/Intel WiFi. I followed your procedure (and the one you linked to from Maldon). When I boot from USB, I get a KP and the trace refers to some 'airportBrcm...'. How do I get around this? thanks in advance

After I start with -v the system would start and install. Also the first time after the installation I run -v. I hope this does help.
Administrators Syonagar Posted January 25, 2012 Administrators Share Posted January 25, 2012 Hi, I had the same problem with my lion usb installer. I had to remove IO80211Family.kext from s/l/e for the installer to boot up. For some reason its causing a KP on the lion usb installer. However, after lion is installed on hard disk. The kext does not cause any KP for some reason. Cheers! i am trying to install Lion on D630/X3100/Intel WiFi. I followed your procedure (and the one you linked to from Maldon).
