Set BIOS to default and only set SATA Operations to AHCI

Hello,

Now, i'm up to "Still waiting for root device" after setting the BIOS to Defaulf.

Do i have to disable VTx?

Or change something in the AML file?

Regards

Did you set Sata operations to AHCI?

Hello,

i've set the SATA operations to AHCI, even-though its still searching for the root device.

I've even formatted the new drive to allocate the unallocated space but in vain :-(

Dont have any clue. what to do next.

try booting with -v dart=0

Did you build installer with MBR patch? if so, rebuild your Installer and select No for MBR.

Try different USB ports, perhaps the eSata/USB combo port

 Hello,

i've have built the installer with the MBR patch; so i would try to boot with the -v dart=0, if it doesn't work, i would rebuild the installer without the MBR patch.

i've tested all the USB ports when installing.

I'll keep updated.

i thought for disk it was ahcidisk=1 debug=8 flags. i am not sure if that still works on mavericks though.

Hello,

I've rebuilt the installer without the MBR patch, it moves one step further and hopefully i get the Apple logo and the setup starts. 8-)

I've already allocated an unallocated space partition from my windows but the setup cant continue on the partition; even I reformatted it using the Disk Utility.

Do i need to format the whole disk including my windows partition in order for it to work, or there is a workaround?

Can you boot with -v switch and report where it error out?

Just "crash" is NOT enough for us to help you.
