Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 1, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 1, 2014 Make sure you set the BIOS to the default first, apply and then set SATA Operations to AHCI. Also try adding USBBusFix=Yes during boot.
shumanak
I reset my BIOS to default and then SATA to AHCI. I then booted with USBBusFix=Yes and still getting a waiting for root device. I decided to change ports (I was using the USB on the right side) so I used the USB on the left and got past the still waiting but then got a kernel panic. Administrators Bronxteck Posted August 1, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2014 looks like your having issues with fakesmc plugins remove them. they might be inside the fakesmc kext in a folder called Plugins.

Administrators Bronxteck Posted August 1, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2014 that usually means your graphics are not loading. you might have to play with ig-platform values and if high res you might also need dual link option. Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 1, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 1, 2014 try booting with IntelAzulFB=10 -v if still failed to load graphics, you'll have to try all value from 0 - 15 until you get one that loads perfectly
shumanak
As of right now the installer is working, I had to use FB=12. Once it boots, I will let you guys know how it is working. Thanks again for the help. Am i able to create a tutorial for this when it is done?
shumanak
It worked! I am up and running. I only have a couple more questions; my right side usb ports are not working... and every time i try and run the SSDT generator on HVT the installation fails. Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 2, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 2, 2014 Those must be USB 3.0 ports. GenericUSBXHCI.kext should work. Check kextstat to see if it's loaded. It might require a patched DSDT to work. Looks like i7-4610M is not in the script. I'll try to generate one for you
