aliashari
Hi all I've created a bootable USB from OS X 10.9 with MyHack. But when i boot it, Apple logo appears and then a black screen shows and nothing happens after that. When i boot with "-v" this error comes at the end: "Unable to open var/db/bootcache.playlist..." Is there any solution for this? core i3 3gb ddr3 ram intel hd graphics

Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 18, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 18, 2014 You have the 1st gen i3 with Intel HD 5700mhd graphics. It's important you state your full specs, not just i3. There's many generation of i3 processors. Knowing this, we could have help you quicker. Remove AppleIntelHDGraphics* from S/L/E & repair permission, that should get it booted. You'll need to determine if you have eDP or LVDS connection. See here.

Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 23, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 23, 2014 Do you have windows on MBR format? If so, look for an MBR patch.

Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 23, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 23, 2014 Do you know if you have LVDS or eDP? You need to figure out what resolution is your display. Did you follow the link i suggested above and install the FB for your OS X? For restart issue, you could try re-running my hack/myfix (quick) to repair permission and rebuild cache. If that doesn't work, you'll need a patched DSDT.
