Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 2, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 2, 2015 Yes, as I mentioned before, no more hang and reboot issue with the GPU. New SIP feature, so will need new version Clover with SIP disabling option.

MicRofT
Firstly, once again thanks Jake Lo for all Your help. El Capitan upgrade was flawless and quick - no more GPU related glitches and hangs, big improvement. I think, more or less, everything is now working on my E7450. The only thing, which is bugging a little bit, is absence of touchpad in system preferences - it says 'No touchpad found' and bluetooth assistant is trying to find a pointing device automatically. I know this bluetooth intervention can be easily turned off, but regardless, there are no configuration options for the touchpad itself. Do You know if there is (or will be) a solution for this? The touchpad in Windows 10 is really powerful with it's 3 and 4-finger gestures.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 12, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2015 What kext do you have for mouse? I'm currently using ApplePS2Controller 1.5. Even though it shows no touchpad detected in Preferences, you still have 2 fingers scrolling. You can right click with 2 finger tapping and 1 finger double tap will allow drag and drop. That's enough for me, I mainly use the trackstick with the help of Smartscroll, I have full middle button scrolling and inertia. Ahmad was working to develop VoodooPS2Controller for version v7, but still in development I think.
dstrukt
Hi everyone! Complete noob here. I can boot my USB drive, but I cannot use my trackpad or keyboard to start the installation. However, if I plug in a USB mouse, I can at least do that. El Capitan is installed, but I can't use the keyboard or trackpad (just USB mouse) I browsed this thread, but I can't really make sense of what you guys are talking about. My BIOS is A03 and I've changed my SATA to ACHI and turned off Secure Boot. I'm using UEFI. EDIT: Got it to install. I saw something about replacing the network adapter with the DW1560. How do I enable my keyboard and mouse? Edited January 3, 2018 by Hervé
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 12, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2015 Place this in /EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.11 or Other depending on what you install. ApplePS2Controller.kext.zip
dstrukt
Place this in /EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.11 or Other depending on what you install. Thank you, sir! What other kexts do I need? This is all new to me so I'm learning as I go. These are the ones I currently have: AppleIntelE1000e.kext ApplePS2Controller.kext AtherosE2200Ethernet.kext FakeSMC.kext RealtekRTL8111.kext As I understand, I won't have wifi unless I change my wireless adapter. Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 12, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2015 Do you have full QE/CI? Did you set the BIOS DVMT to 96MB? Are you using any DSDT/SSDT? These 2 kexts are not needed, AppleIntelE1000e.kext is all you need for Ethernet. AtherosE2200Ethernet.kext RealtekRTL8111.kext
