bnichols024
Is there an easy way to mount my EFI partition so I can edit the config.plist file? I The only way I can get to it is if i run the Clover....r3424.pkg, then I'm able to view the EFI partition. Otherwise it is hidden.

Administrators Hervé Posted April 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 14, 2016 What happens when you boot without cache and in verbose mode?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 14, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 14, 2016 Even for the E6430s, you'll need to restore BIOS to A11 as per the E6430/E6230, otherwise you'll encounter artifacts. Before getting that fix, let's see if you could get it to install first. You mentioned using the E6430 bootpack which has high resolution set to 1600x900. If you have 1366x768, make sure to replace bootpack with E6230 instead.
bnichols024
Beautiful. Changing to the E6230 bootpack seemed to do the trick. El Capitan is currently installing. The display had some artifacts for a short period of time but like you said, restoring to A11 should resolve that.
Administrators Hervé Posted April 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 14, 2016 So it was the DualLink DSDT parameter set to 1 that caused your issue. It's set to 0 for screen res up to 1440x900, to 1 for anything above such as 1600x900 or higher.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 14, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 14, 2016 ig-platform-id is also set to 0x01660004 for dualLink and 0x01660003 for single in DSDT too and also in the Config.plist.
Administrators Hervé Posted April 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 15, 2016 Hmm, I understood Capri FB #4 had a limited number of ports and, therefore, would not support external displays such as VGA, DVI or HDMI...
bnichols024
I was able to install the OS. I went through all of the post installation steps and rebooted. Once I rebooted back to the Clover interface my operating system was no longer an option. I'm not sure what happened. Re-installing OS now...and thank you both for all the help with this so far.
