george_s_4
I am totally new to the world of hackintosh. I want to get El Capitan on my Latitude e6510 because OS X is needed for many of the things I do but I dont have the money for a macbook. I managed to get clover on a flash drive and boot to clover but I cant boot to OS X. it just shows a circle with a line through it. Ive heard this is because the config settings are wrong. I found the config file and tried editing it with what I thought it should be. No luck. The settings I found online are for the e6410 but supposedly work for the e6510 (just chang resolution to 1920x1080). These are the settings ACPIFixes:Old Way:- FixHPET- FixShutdown- FixIPICNew Way- FIX_RTC- FIX_ADP1Drop OEM_DSM:DSDT name: DSDT.amlDrop Tables:- SSDT TableId Cpu0ist- SSDT TableId CpuPm- DMARSSDT:- Drop OEM- Generate PStates- Generate CStatesBOOT:- gux_defer_usb2- nvda_drv=1- kext-dev-mode=1- rootless=0- dart=0Default Boot Volume: LastBootedVolumeLegacy: LegacyBiosDefaultXMPDetection: NoTimeout: 3DEVICES:Usb:- inject- add ClockID- FixOwnershipUseIntelHDMIGUI:Mouse:- Double Click: 500- Speed: 8- EnabledScan:Custom- Entries- Tool- LegacyLanguage (choose)Screen Resolution: 1440x900Theme (choose) YosemiteLoginGRAPHICS:Inject NvidiaKernel and Kext Patches:- Apple RTC- Asus AICPUPMAdd kext patchesName: AppleHDAFind [HEX]: 8419D411Replace [HEX]: 00000000Comment: AppleHDA IDT #1 Name: AppleHDAFind [HEX]: 8B19D411Replace [HEX]: D5761D11Comment: AppleHDA IDT #2 Name: AppleHDAFind [HEX]: 8319D41Replace [HEX]: 00000000Comment: AppleHDA IDT #3Rt Variables:BooterConfig: 0x28CsrActiveConfig: 0x67SMBIOS:click Magic Wand, and choose :MacBookPro6,2 (have nvidia gpu)orMacBookPro8,2 (have similar cpu)System Parameters:Inject Kexts: Detect- Inject System ID Can someone explain this all this like i'm five or attach a modified config file with all of these settings?
