bill10
Hi guys, I am trying to put Sierra on my T7810 but failed. I appreciate your help. This is my PC Dual Intel Xeon Processor E5-2620 v4 64GB (4x16GB) 2400MHz DDR4 RDI MM ECCNVIDIA Quadro M4000 8GB (4 DP) (1 DP to SL-DVI adapter)Motherboard: unknown This is what I did. I created usb using terminal. Then installed clover to usb. The clover boot menu shows up. But when I click "install mac os from...", it shows something like "Using reloc... yes Hibernate... no" and another line of +'s. Then I downloaded the boot packages from this forum and replaced EFI folder. Still got same results but with one more line of +'s. I saw many people have managed to install mac os to their workstations. Could you share with me your experience? Or could let me know which boot package is used? It seems I couldn't find one for Precision Towers. Thank you in advance!
Administrators Hervé Posted October 26, 2016 Administrators Share Posted October 26, 2016 You'll probably have to make up your own boot pack. All you need to begin with is the FakeSMC kext (it's mandatory). Thereafter, you look for drivers that handle your hardware elements (LAN, audio, wireless, etc.). You're also going to have to configure Clover according to your system. Your Workstation is based on a Broadwell platform.
bill10
Thank you for the reply. I think you hit the nail on the head. Could you point me to a tutorial on configuring Clover. I googled configure clover broadwell but haven't found much. Thank you!
Administrators Hervé Posted October 26, 2016 Administrators Share Posted October 26, 2016 There should not be much really. Look for builds of similar specs or post a zipped copy of the EFI folder of your EFI partition and we'll have a look.
bill10
After some research this afternoon, I finally get passed the +'s. Now I am stuck at [ PCI configuration begin ] AMFIL. I did two things: 1. Add NullCPUPowerManagement.kext 2. kernel cpu support
