Ja give it a try Extended journaled is absolutly right - i think i have reinstalled 15 times - and usb-hdd booting is always special in comparison to internal hdd...
Damned Leon ure fast...
ZEPPO BITTE INSTALLIERE DEIN SYSTEM NEU... NICHT CLONEN NICHT WIEDERHERSTELLEN... KEIN GROß UND KLEINSCHREIBUNG...
because of this special GERMAN (we think it only exist in german installations) problem i made a small exception... please remember this is a english spoken forum
Hi Zeppo i've sent u a PM how it ALWAYS works 4 me. Give it a try...
How I said: Don't format your HDD case-sensitive (Groß und Kleinschreibung) only GUID and Mac OS Journaled...
That is 100% your problem... Fix it and u will see everything works fine...
BTW. LEON WE SHOULD CLEARIFY ON WIKI THAT CASE SENSITIVE ISN'T WORKING ERRORFREE...
ahm u cant find the edptool.command file in the Extra folder? Maybe your unzip went wrong... try again within OSX.. Btw if u unzip it under Windows don't use the _Mac OS Folder its just a temp folder use the real Extra folder...
Take the latest stable release from WIKI... all other releases are for betas and elites only... or wait 1-2 weeks when the next stable reales will be uploaded...
or get a beta tester - but btw. ive made a extra thread for beta permission request - why the hell no one responds to this???
error beeps doesnt come out of speakers its a beeping module on board... so i would test different: download latest ubuntu live cd and test speaker within ubuntu if it doesnt work your speakers maybe broken...
At next step i would open your dell and check if cables lost connections...
Im sorry, there is nothing to monitor. Its done when its done... The near future will bring us some interesting and new stuff to get full OSX (SD, Wifi, ...) working on our dells.
So keep watching on forum and/or google group
cheers
