  1. Hello everyone. I have recently gotten Yosemite working on my computer. Now the only problem is, the 4312 card, is not working. I have gotten it to show up once, unfortunately haven't been able to find/connect to any networks, other than open networks. I'm going to try rebranding, and if that is successful, I'll post the good news. Rebranding may be the only option. I'm actually currently using an Apple Airport Express Card (14e4, 4328)from my Macbook 4,1 (unfortunately, I can't seem to get the BCM4312 working under Lion like I did in my Latitude, any suggestions would be helpful) in my computer for networking, and is working perfectly. If anyone else is interested in the rebranding technique, PM me, and we can figure this out together. Sorry for replying late to this post. GenoKiller
  2. Okay, I had a look at what to do, and well, I'm stuck. I have no idea what I'm doing. Would you be able to guide me through what to edit? Thank you again.
  3. Aha, thanks. Another question, I have an old 2008 MacBook White with a Broadcom wifi card. Would that be compatible with my computer? Or would Yosemite not support it? Thanks again.
  4. I currently have no idea if this will work for Yosemite, as I haven't gotten Yosemite working on my E6400. As soon as I get Yosemite running, including all kexts, then I will try WiFi. Thank you for your time.
  5. I'm having the same problem as Moebius, Bluetooth transport error. Any help for this?
  6. Hello, forum members. I have recently acquired a Dell Vostro A860 and wish to install OS X 10.7 or later i.e Mountain Lion, Mavericks. Specs are as follows: GPU: Intel GMA X3100 (GM965) (8086, 2a02) CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T5470 1.60 GHZ RAM: 4GB LAN: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller (RTL8103E) (10ec,8136) WLAN: BCM 4312 (14e4,4315) If anyone here has any info on installing any of the above operating systems on the portable, feel free to comment what you know. Thank you.
  7. howoarang, would you be okay with sharing your BIOS settings with us? I'm having trouble getting it to install, as it keeps stopping at 15 minutes, which is 2 mins after I start. Thanks in advance. âœŒï¸ BTW I'm using a E6400, which is basically the E6500's brother.
  8. I don't have the same computer as yours but with my Dell Latitude E6400, I have 2 normal sized computer fans connected to a broken USB cable and I put them both under my laptop to cool it down. I've had times where the system lags because of the heat and this has helped it a lot. I have never done a reflow on mine mainly because of the fans cooling the computer down... Hope this helps ya... Peace

  11. So as you probably all know, when Apple released Mavericks they changed the wifi cards to only support the ones they had in the newer Mac models. Well I found a fix for this. REQUIREMENTS 1. A CustoMac (or Hackintosh, whatever you prefer) running OSX Mavericks 10.9 2. A Broadcom 43XX series Wifi card with kext installed in /E/E 3. This Download here 4. Hidden folders enabled (how to is right here) www.discussions.apple.com/message/23522493#23522493 What to DO 1. Extract the .zip file to the desktop 2. Open the folder contents 3. Copy airportd to /usr/libexec (Remember to backup the 10.9 one incase something goes wrong) 4. Restart 5. Go to the 10.7.3 folder and right click on the IO80211Family.kext 6. Open it with the included Kext Utility 7. Restart To get it working 1. Click on System Preferences/Network 2. Click on Assist Me 3. Click on Diagnostics 4. Click on Wifi and Continue 5. Select your Wifi network and enter the code 4. Done you can now click Quit and you should be connected NOTE: You will have to do this every single time you logout of your CustoMac Tested on Dell Latitude e6400 with Broadcom 4312 Wireless Card EDIT: This also works on 10.8 ( as said on the folder) Also you will have to replace the files again after updating.
