The DSDTS that are uploaded to the Wiki should be "Raw" in other words Unmolested true Bios dumps no alterations, Then you take that "Raw" Bios dump and modify it so that the Mac OS thinks its accessing Mac hardware instead of DELL hardware... But you have to know where and how to manipulate the data to gain functionality. ( I for one still can't seem to get it right... Lol )

Yeah it's quirky but no it's not fixed in 1.5 yet... But you should try RC1.5 There are Updated DSDT's and more script functionality

You should reseat the memory maybe it's not seated properly. I had a stubborn time installing 4gb of ram. Had to upgrade the bios then put one 2 gig module in let it register then add the other 2 gig's.

Ok found the file to delete, it's in Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist then reboot

It seems stable enough but you do get KP once in a while at boot

What are the benifits you see?

I tried VGA output With the EDP and it worked as an extended monitor but when I selected Mirrored mode it corrupted both monitors and I can't get it back. Now when I unplug the VGA cable it clears up on the laptop, So how can you delete the display prefpane catch to at least have extended mode back. (You can't uncheck mirror mode because of garbled screen and only have access to that option when both screens connected but you cant see it to uncheck it.) It's a damn catch 22!... Maybe a script is in order here .. A little input Guys would help

Yes leon I can boot without pc card inserted. I tried the EDP from 18/12/2010 and I had a serious Kernel panic What was modified in the DSDT for D6x0? I Get cpu errors Sometimes will get to apple acpi then cpu panic. Running on leppys boot disc right now after like 50 reboots since last night.

Leon.. Mariuz you and I are testing it thats 3 Mariusz have you tried it in S/L/E without the nub kext part? It works perfect on my Intel GMA D620. when you install it in Extra it doesn't load properly because IOPci takes control first when PCMCIA kext is in E/E.

An alternative to VoodooBattery. Go to energy saver prefpane and check "show battery status on the menu bar" to activate. My system seems to boot faster. (For me there's usually a delay after loading pcmcia with voodoobattery.) maybe it will also help with people having issues with battery showingAppleACPIBatteryManager.kext.zip
