  1. And how about a factory reset of bios before going any further or has that been tried already?
  2. oh didnt see you got rid of it.. lol
  3. oh and maybe here:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=240639&st=60 for trackpad and keyboard
  4. If this is your graphics (NVIDIA GeForce 9400M)then look in hear: http://osx86.co/f7/list-of-nvidia-gpus-supported-in-snow-leopard-t4385/ maybe it can help a little
  5. Did you try to raise the volume from the mac audio prefpane or the little speaker symbol by the clock? It also seems like the keyboard is not mapped correctly for your laptop config.. maybe do a search on voodoops2 and scan codes or just try diffrent voodoops2controller.kexts
  6. Had the endless boot also it was chameleon Rc5... try with Rc4
  7. OOops... My bad... should be corrected it's missing in d630 intel and d620 nvidia extentions folders
  8. Looks like you covered everything on memory and HDD... But it looks like from the kp that either pcmcia is loaded or powermanegement issue... are you using pcmcia with voodoops2 controller?
  9. Your going to need to find an Install distro that works on a AMD processor. maybe iFail S3 Ver. 2
  10. Im starting to wonder if your bootsector is corrupt...
  11. Well... I was reluctant and didn't want to mention that what finally fixed my issue was a spanking new harddrive. Lol but it was sata so it was inexpensive.. not that this is the case for you though... ps. I didn't get to read all the post but did you ever check your memory? it also sounds like bad memory. I hate 10.6.6.. 10.6.4 was soooo much stabler.. sorry just ranting..
  12. I had alot of weird issues like your having and it was frustrating.. alot of odd ball stuff.. wound up starting from snow leopard install cd and used the disk utility from osx install cd to do a disk repair to fix errors it had from when I droped it
  13. Just did a inspirion 8600 over the weekend with some similarities to your laptop setup and the only thing that worked for me was Leopard (ipc 10.5.4) using voodoo_kernal but it kp alot even with seatbelt fix
  14. battery meter has to be turned on from powermanegment prefpane if it's not on status bar.

    Slow HDD

do you have another os like windows installed. i had an issue with spotlight slowing down my harddrive and needed to shut it off on that partition.
  16. Mariusz can you have a look at this? it works good and now chameleon finds hpet.. but you need graphics kext in E/E for it to work. dsdt_from_Slice.zip
  17. check dropbox for slice boot loader 721. The pause was caused by ati module so just remove it if you dont need it
  18. same method as slices newest bootloader thread (extracted zip as root)
  19. Thanks for the feedback.. sometimes when building the extension it corrupts the trackpad kext but I don't know why. It will extract to a folder instead of building the extension.
  20. while you still have the issue look in extra/ extentions is there a blue folder with the name "content" mixed with all the kext files? please check and post results..
  21. there are 4 kext pertaining to audio in extra directory any one of them can be causing issues. if its external sound then get ride of the internal audio kexts and see if that works.. ps i wouldnt boast about using our package to profit and expect help.. some thing are better off left unsaid..
  22. Cant you recoup the linux files using a live boot cd?
  23. oh it happens.. I have a whole thread devoted to talking to my self.. right leon ... lol..
  24. yeah you should be able to rebuild from custom or current config if kexts are in Extentions. just dont build from models selection or you will get an incorect dsdt in your Extra folder.
  25. well is there a extra folder in your efi partition that can be an issue
