    OSX 10.6.6

make a Freedos thumbdrive with someting like UNetbootin and extract the zip to the thumbdrive. but before you flash make shure you remove any bios passwords
  2. charles it's not that hard to make your own bootdisc there are many ways.. a simple way is to get a thumbdrive install chameleon on it and just run the 1.6 package but instead of installing to your HDD change location and build on the thumbdrive you just loaded chameleon on... then just build for your machine/ options.. Try it you might be surprised
  3. ahh your on the right track crc. red is a good thing.. the problem is the stuff your dumping back onto the drive. check dropbox bootloaders lion theres a .dmg open it and dump that onto your stick instead (well as long as your stick is still seeing RED lol..)

    OSX 10.6.6

post in your signature you machine spec's please.. you can use mine as a guide.. also what type of video is it? maybe your building for wrong machine. another thing when you set up the drive Do Not use Case Sensitive. and use chameleon ver5 rev665 or higher.. it almost sounds like your tscsync kext is not working... in whatever bootloader your using do a -v cpus= 1 and see if it's stable after that.
  10. yeah just googled my partnumbers it's 800mhz.. that info above is from system profiler
  11. in the version of iboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) that I used there is a folder for dsdt and one for kexts but idk if the kext folder works then configed it with the mobo MAC-F don't recall the rest... (I wonder what the number is for a MacBook2,1 is because it has merom cpu, 667mhz mem. and gma950 video)then -v -f cpus=1 (to fix stuttering / tsc issue) arch=i386 but i had to use makeusb.bat from one zip, and copy the root contents of another zip... for some reason i had trouble finding a working copy of iboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) so i pieced it together from xpc and iboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded)
  12. oh I got it working totaly differently and I used iboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded).. but im my third reinstall.. it seem's lion does not like diskutility to repair it... get cpuhalt errors then it's over

    OSX 10.6.6

run the sleep fix option from edptool again.
  14. you should try propedit app it gives you a visual of your permissions so you can see offhand if something is not right... handy little app.. also my network is still not working even with "Solution: Renamed "/S/L/SystemConfiguration/Apple80211Monitor.bundle" to .bundle_ to prevent it from loading" and I did notice though that there are kexts missing and or diffrent in IONetworkingFamily.kext plugins folder even some referance to intel?
  15. can a d620 handel 800mhz mem? i think i have 667. DIMM_A: Size: 2 GB Type: DDR2 SDRAM Speed: 667 MHz Status: OK Manufacturer: Hynix Semiconductor Part Number: HYMP125S64CP8-S6AA Serial Number: 5F732F5B DIMM_B: Size: 2 GB Type: DDR2 SDRAM Speed: 667 MHz Status: OK Manufacturer: Hynix Semiconductor Part Number: HYMP125S64CP8-S6AA Serial Number: 53533CEA
  16. oh it's painfull trust me... lol.. you would probably have to modify your dsdt and remove "lid fix" but that's beyond my scope...
  17. well it's supposed to replace the extra folder in root of drive. also try http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/319f8/d4xOSX_package_10.html
  18. probably in power saving prefpane.
  19. you can go straight to 10.6.6 combo update
  20. https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/40-vga-out/page__p__301__hl__video__fromsearch__1#entry301 been there... I posted what file to remove if it happens again
  21. did you correct the issue?
  22. the problem is the graphics "fix" in dsdt plus gma 950 driver support so it's a "double whammy"
