  1. What the hell is up with these java updates? apple never updates there permissions database WTF! you could run disk util 100 times and 100 times java perms are screwed!
  2. if not EDP has a "fix" for getting "extended mode" back after "mirror mode" corruption. have you tried turning the secondary monitor 90*. mariusz seems to have had sucess with that a couple of posts up.
  3. yeah no matter what comes out I keep gravitating to that version also with the same result "feels more natural". Daniel have you tried the one a couple of posts up that i modified? if you have do you notice any difference to the one from post 4?
  4. try diskutility and repair permissions see if that helps. I ran it on mine before the update to 10.6.7 and had no errors. but after the 10.6.7 mac update had a ton of em.. and none related to EDP. basically it was all the stuff apple updated. some it didn't even want to repair go figure and there the ones that modified it! lol.. looks like apple is getting sloppy.
  5. they all worked perfectly on D620 gma950 the first and last were only 720p fine in fullscreen, the second and third had 1080p and alsp perfect in full screen.. maybe your getting lag or you have to update flash... im on flash 10.2 if that helps.
  6. 1.7 is out updated for 10.6.7
  7. Slice i was getting a really bad lag on keyboard last night after updating to 10.6.7 i had to literaly wait a minute before i could see the text show up... almost like a tscsync symptom but the only thing affected was the keyboard... weird
  8. yep it's out, running it now.
  9. do you have a link to something to test with?
  10. nope works fine on D620... but not all latitudes work as well with the pcmcia.kext
  11. best way to do it... can always flash and update one while the other is running
  12. that's one of the reasons i have 2..
  13. Funny you mention that.. i have 2 wrt54g waiting in my ever growing pile of unfinished hacks pile mountain...lol maybe you should come over and feed that hunger... so much stuff so little time..
  14. well i have a D620 with gma950 and it works with lion so far. but in 64bit you don't get full resolution..
  15. Pssst... look hear.... http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/e89c8/WWAN_in_OSX_on_Dell_Latitude_D420D430.html I'm surprised at you PT... lol..
  16. so far on 10.6.7 I have not noticed any major changes or major benefits from it but it does "feel" snappier then 10.6.6.. they have not changed the kernel (yet) so if it stays that way then we will be in the clear, EDP at 1.6 will function as normal... as for Lion, we are still having "technical difficulties" ... one is the bootloader's are in beta so there is no Extra directory support on the one that we tested on and the kexts have to be loaded in S/L/E. Another one is affecting certain wireless cards. even rebranded cards are not functioning even though you see them in IOreg. also not that many third party apps function correctly yet either. First day it works then when you least expect it BAM, it just errors out and thats it just won't work again. you can install it 100 times... nada. No battery icon yet, and no thermal control so cpu's run very hot 75*c so we are limited to the amount of time to work on it.
  17. you can try superduper or you can use timemachine or diskutility
  18. how about repairing disk permissions with disk utility? that can cause weird issues.
  19. I read there is a "top sites" bug that causes a similar issue. If the tab automatically opens "top sites" you get the bbod... The "fix" was not to have it do that. so maybe your "fix" is to remove it from the menu bar.
  20. have you tried resetting your wireless router or checking the configs of the router, see if there's a newer firmware update. also reset your cable/dsl modem.
  21. wow that's weird... Don't know where to go with that one other than try something other than safari... have you tried resetting safari and clearing catches?
  22. i guess your safari is corrupt for some reason... have you done all the up dates?
  23. im glad to hear that you are enjoying our site...
