  1. put it back in the D620 boot it up. use EDP to build for d630 then put it in the D630 when your finished testing d630 rebuild for D620 before putting back. D630 and D620 use different Kexts and DSDT'S thats why it didn't boot. or grab a bootable thumb drive that's formatted with guide partition load chameleon onto it then install edp to the thumb drive instead of the hard drive run edptool.command and build for D630. boot using the thumb drive then select your snow partition and start osx. hopefully that helps you out
  2. i guess i will have to look at mine when im home. it's in an obscure place. just start from top of bios and drill down the options list.
  3. you can try the dsdt in EDP for your laptop and see it that fixes you issue. or crc's bios that has the dsdt already injected
  4. hazard install modifies alot of system kexts and also mach_kernel so it is way to hard to troubleshoot. what we use is for a "vanilla" install. so you just might have to reinstall osx from a retail disc.
  5. make sure you have virtualization on in bios
  6. yeah i also get the usb error if i leave a usb drive connected to the laptop and it "wakes". the mic issue i never noticed it before because i don't use it often and as for the bluetooth i had pulled it from an old dell laptop i think its a dell 340/350 bluetooth
  7. now just dump the iboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) 1.4 from the thread to the root of the 2 gig thumb drive... https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/276-iboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded)-14/
  8. sleep works follow the guide in osx wiki
  9. Ohhh why didn't you tell me that in the first place.... lol...
  10. ps the bootdisk methode is the fastest way if you don't have acess to a working osx of any type... (and alot faster than dumping in a virtual enviroment)
  11. that would be great if you supply us with a linux dump. on the bios front, CRC injects the DSDT.aml, Slic 2.1 for native windows 7 activation, and the rest is cosmetics. so bios is intact just added 2 things to it
  12. actualy vorbo if your not going to update to 10.6.7 don't install edp 1.7 it has 10.6.7 kext's and might give you kp on boot
  13. well if you don't have any thing to start from then your best bet is a boot cd... this one started me out. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=178411 i used his D620slv1 iso and a retail 10.6.0 disk. this will hopefully get osx installed on your machine. once it is installed then use the disk to boot the install. when your finally at the desktop run the EDP package and install with your choices. now when finished with EDP make sure you install chameleon rc5 rev.655 or higher. then update to 10.6.7 use the combo update; and thats it your running snow. so make sure you have chameleon, 10.6.7 combo update from apple website and EDP packages on a thumbdrive to make this process easier for yourself. We have done alot of work along the way to optimize each specific model listed including the dsdt. so as long as you choose the correct model in the selection it will work. i have gotten from blank harddrive to 10.6.7 in less than 1/2 hour. as long as you read and understand the guides then you should be perfectly fine. and what ever you do, DO NOT use case sensitive when formatting the drive unless you like weird issues and kp. So what is there to loose? try it out. you dont like it try something else like debian or ubuntu or windows
  14. looks like sleepenabler is your problem.... it is part of powerpack... try building without powerpack option or without pcmcia
  15. yeah d430 does not like it for some reson. but it works well on d620.
  16. funny thing I was experimenting last night with your issue using the laptop screen and adding one to the vga port on the back of the laptop it extended my desktop like it normally does so i click on mirror mode just to make sure the "fix" worked like it did in 10.6.0 - 10.6.6 well in 10.6.7 it seems like they changed something because it didn't work this time... I mean the script did it's job properly but the screen was still messed up until i unpluged the monitor cable and went back to lcd but it was dimmer and the resolution was at 1024x768 so i rebooted and all was back to normal except it garbels up when connecting external monitor still though it should not be after running the "fix". so now i'm stumped on that.
  17. Did you try EDP1.6 or1.7 choose option 2 "fixes" then option 7 "reset displays" see if that helps. this usually helps with the garbled screen corruption issue after applying mirror mode
  18. ok in chameleon you have to boot arch=x86_64 and then try installing the program. also 64 bits depends on the support of your graphics card. mine is intel gma945 (AKA gma950) and in 64 bit boot my full resolution is not supported only 1024 x 768
  19. ahh sorry for some reason i thought you meant pcmcia. which also needs a bridge. never tried that docking station i only own the smaller one
  20. Robi62 did you adjust it with trackpad prefpane? Daniel yes it is very similar to the windows driver feel even the unfortunate scroll if it was 2 clicks slower it would be perfect
  21. does the one on the D620 work for you?
  22. Has any body tried this before? should probably work with hackintosh http://www.bettertouchtool.net/
