  1. did you follow the wiki for sleep?
  2. Ahh so thats what that's for... i've seen that in your bootloader files.. always wondered what it was used for.. once again thanks!
  3. cant you just integrate sudo kextutil -v /extra/extensions/I8kfan.kext into the gui since it needs password anyway to load.. i added it to logon items and it asks for password then it loads and is usable
  4. check osx wiki. everything you would ever want to know is there http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/
  5. umm a little more info like does it just stop there or what?
  6. ok thanks for the pointer in general thread slice... it does work when loaded manually.. but will not load from E/E or s/l/e on its own i guess thats why he tried using a daemon.
  7. by the way how is your branch coming along? you havent upgraded your thread here in a while... looking forward to using it.
  8. can we pin this so it doesn't get lost in the forum
  9. well instructions do help, i do not have your vast knowledge of osx.. you have been on the seen since 10.4 and are one of the pioneers in the hackintosh community most kext have your hand in it in one way ore another so you know way more than i about osx..
  10. slice is it true that with new compiler you do not need dtgp methode anymore from what i read?
  11. yes it is meklort branch i will edit. also isn't merklot supposed to merge with branch soon?
  12. ok slice tried it but also didn't work.. but what do i do with the daemon file? maybe thats why its not working?
  13. newest rev.747 trunk 699 based on meklort branch http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231075 Chameleon 5 rev747.zip
  14. when you are on the chameleon boot screen, type: pmVersion=21 that should help.... and if it does then you have to add it to com.apple.boot.plist Kernel Flags busratio=21
  15. new dev-team release out 2 http://blog.iphone-dev.org/
  16. i think your on the right track... do a fresh clean full install to the iomega external and see if problem persists if it does not then clone that image to the hard drive if it goes away then maybe the cd rom is flakey or dirty... it's happened to me before.. if not do every thing on another mac if you can..
  17. mirror mode does not work only extended mode works you need to remove /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist to at least get extended mode back
  18. do you keep using the same file to update to 10.6.6? maybe its corrupted. or your disk image is corrupted...
  19. you do have to use dsdt in /extra folder for latest edp to work but edp should have already put it there for you... or unless you use crc's modified bios that integrates a dsdt then no you don't need it in /extra because it is read from bios... just in case there are any misunderstandings
  20. edp didn't install a dsdt in extra for you? check in /models/d8x0-intel folder and see if there is one in there if not mariusz has one posted on the forum... d620/820
  21. Quote from kext.com: A member of Insanely, Duvel300, just posted a way to get rid of the need for any restart kext, ie OpenHaltRestart, EvoReboot, or OSXrestart. He has modified the Chameleon boot file, and also one of the SSDT tables, FADT, to allow restart and shutdown to work kext free. I tried it out, and so far it seems to be working great. You replace your boot file, and add the FADT.aml file into the same folder as your dsdt, and restart... Yes, you are replacing one file (restart kext) with another (FADT.aml) but, I think its cleaner. My boot time does seem a little better... maybe lost 3-4 spins, but it's hard to tell about that. Of course, this means you cant use Asere's boot file with his mods, but if we try this out and like it, maybe Asere can add this fix to his work? Someone also added it into PC-EFI already (see the Insanely forum post) Check it out HERE.
  22. quote from wiki: Step 2) - Configuring BIOS Set a system password in bios it FORCES laptop screen to WAKE to input password so if it's prompting for a password when "waking from sleep" then it is working correctly.
  23. It seems you either need a patched dsdt.. or patched video kexts from 10.6.0 disc. have you tried building as a d620 intel graphics in edp?
