Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 5, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2017 The config didn't show any drives in the boot menu except for 'boot windows from windows efi' I have SK Hynix PC300 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive in my E7470 Check out this article http://hackintosher.com/blog/get-nvme-m-2-ssds-show-high-sierra-hackintosh-install/
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 6, 2017 Try this new Config. Added Bit swap block size 0x10) -Syscl for Hynix/ Plextor NVMe config.plist.zip
murad3994
Good news. Since this config didn't work with the alternative installer, I just copied IONVMeFamily into the KextsToPatch and voila!, SSD is shown in Disk Utility. I will test this config with Clover and see how it goes. Thanks Jake

Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 6, 2017 I thought I'd give Clover another chance with your last config. murad3994.zip + last config = no bootable devices except for windows. Generic_EFI + murad3994.zip + last config= KP (Attached) I just added the extra patch for Hynix to the last Config + murad3994.zip you said works except no bootable device except windows so it doesn't work either? I just added the extra patch for Hynix to the last Config + murad3994.zip you said works except no bootable device except windows so it doesn't work either? Not sure what you mean, but I was talking about the config in Post #35 and yes it didn't work https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/10158-e7470-high-sierra-nvme-fresh-install-failed/page-4&do=findComment&comment=74557 The latest one you provided in Post #43 worked with the alternative installer but didn't work with Clover. I attached both EFIs (with latest config.plist) for Clover and the other. EFI (Clover).zip sadly it didn't work for me = KP EFI (alternative installer).zip showed the SSD but the OS was slower than before Edit: in the attached EFI (Clover).zip, I used: Generic EFI + murad3994 and replaced its config with the latest one in post #43. EFI (alternative installer).zip EFI (Clover).zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 6, 2017 I was using latest Clover Configurator 4.55, I guess that made changes to the Config if you don't have the latest Clover v4289 Slow because you don't have graphics acceleration. Ok, I'm merged the 2 Configs. See if this works. config.plist.zip

murad3994
kernel panic.. used clover v4289. I'd prefer using clover, but it doesn't seem to be working for me at all.
