[HELP] E6540 High Sierra install

Recommended Posts

I had used Ralink 7601 USB wifi 480Mbps costs 3.5 USD and its working fine. Now everything works good. No Trackpad showing for R5 but working smoothly.

Now

Bluetooth working

Wifi usb Ralink 7601 working

Trackpad Working

HDA sound working

Card Reader Working

All USB ports working.

If admin allow me I want to contribute a Post and all files for the High Sierra Installation for E6540 with my laptop configurations.

That would be great if you would post your files!  I have a few weird glitches I still can't figure out (I can't play video of any kind for some reason). :)

Thanks!!

Ok, I'll try that.  I also can't play video in Quicktime or my video in the Photos app.  Is there a system-wide hardware acceleration setting of some kind?

@Jake, I have followed the guidelines to get audio going in this thread and have not been able to do so. Audio is not listed in System Report->Audio.

It's a Dell E6540 with HD8790M, A.22 BIOS. I see the audio and codec in Ioregistryexplorer (link). What am I missing here?
