Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 26, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 26, 2018 Yes, Optimus is not supported unless you could disable /enable it in the BIOS Your system is definitely supported, you had Sierra on it before so no reason why you can't run High Sierra. You should start with a vanilla USB installer rather than using a Distro.

Administrators Bronxteck Posted April 26, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 26, 2018 worst case just clone your Mac drive and drop in a complete efi folder into the drives efi partition that has clover setup

Administrators Bronxteck Posted April 27, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 27, 2018 make a copy of your Mac computers hard drive. mount the efi volume of the cloned drive. paste in your working clover EFI folder into it. then put it into the dell and boot it. if all is well you should boot to an exact duplicate of your Mac. this is if you just want Mac OS on your machine and you are still having issues with a clean install
