Try the usual fine-tuning: USBInjectAll kext or generation of your own USB injector, USB3/USB2 multiplexing, DSDT USB device power settings, etc. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try mapping it manually.
crazyxzer0
Hi All, Just to let everyone know I figured out what was going on with the 9020SFF. I did a USB port map with USBinjectall and turns out the kext from @Jake Lo did not have every port for the SFF. ## Dell 9020 SFF Rear Bottom left HS06 Bottom Right HS05 Top right HS09 Top middle right HS10 Top middle left SSP6/HS03 Top left SSP5/HS04 Front Top Right SSP2/HS12 Top Left SSP1/ HS11 Bottom Right HS07 Bottom Left HS08 I did an SSDT.asl based on the port map and verified it is was working. I did end up using @brousseau6933's kext after modifying it to imac 15,1 for the sake of simplicity. I did a verification in IOregistryexplorer and it is working on all ports. Thanks, everyone for the help!

bobtern
Have you tested on 4K displays? I worked on this for 2 days, still cannot make 9020SFF work on 4K displays.
ggrpitt
I finally decided to upgrade to Mojave (9020 tower, clover install, latest bootpacks) and everything installs. But I have two nagging problems that make the computer extremely slow: com.apple.displaypolicyd respawns every 10 seconds com.apple.mdworker.shared.XXXXXXX respawns every 10 seconds Any help please? brousseau6933
@ggrpitt: first one is probably related to GPU. dGPU or iGPU in your case? The second is for indexing I think. Sorry, can't help more...
ggrpitt
Well, I managed to make it worse. Now all I have is a black screen. There is output for the displays because I can see the mouse cursor, but the screen is black.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted May 30, 2019 Administrators Share Posted May 30, 2019 maybe it is treating your display as a secondary extended display?
