chiangkl
If anyone know how to make AppleALC work with latest version of lilu.kext in Catalina. Please advise.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 15, 2019 Moderators Share Posted October 15, 2019 You can build from source https://github.com/acidanthera/applealc/releases Here you go. It looks like the same version you've been using AppleALC.kext.zip
chiangkl
Ya, this is the same version that I used. It caused the sleep/wake issue. I will use voodoohda for now, while waiting for new release of AppleAlc.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 15, 2019 Moderators Share Posted October 15, 2019 I just built it from Catalina with latest Lilu.kext. Have you give it a try?
chiangkl
Yes, I did try your kext. It did not wake up.
Administrators Hervé Posted October 16, 2019 Administrators Share Posted October 16, 2019 Was there a reason why in your clover config, Devices section, audio injection was set to "No"? I should be left blank, knowing that you inject layout-id 12 in the Properties for HDEF device @1B...
chiangkl
It just worked in Mojave before, so I did not change it. Anyway, I just changed the Audio injection to blank, it still does not wake up.
chiangkl
while waiting for the latest version of AppleALC.kext, this solve my issue:
Administrators Bronxteck Posted October 19, 2019 Administrators Share Posted October 19, 2019 WEG kext has the boot option -igfxnohdmi to disable DP to HDMI conversion patches for digital sound. that sounds like the equivalent function of what the link you posted has done. unless there is more to it then just that. chiangkl
I put in the boot argument -igfxnohdmi and AppleALC.kext 1.4.2, my problem re-appear. So, it is generally not equivalent. But, I am not technical enough to identify what the differences are.
