Watermelon Jello
I started with installing the WiFi and Bluetooth kexts and was able to install them, but I wasn't able to turn on my WiFi and it said that it could not find Bluetooth Hardware. The card I'm using is a Broadcom DW1560 BCM94352Z and I've attached my clover file below. CLOVER.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 26, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 26, 2020 What kexts did you add? It's not showing in your Clover kexts/Other folder Add these kexts For Wifi , add to Clover kext : AirportBrcmFixup.kext For BT, add to /L/E: BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext BrcmPatchRAM3.kext Don't forget to repair permissions and rebuild cache
Watermelon Jello
Will do - if I were to use kext utility, would it automatically repair permissions and rebuild the cache?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 26, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 26, 2020 use hackintool.app, it includes tools like kext cache and repair
Watermelon Jello
So I tried installing the WiFi kexts using Hackintool and there are two issues that I'm not sure how to resolve. The first is that since I'm using a Mojave 10.14.6 Hackintosh, I used AirportBrcmFixup.kext BrcmPatchRAM2.kext BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext and I'm facing an issue where the WiFi menu shows up but it doesn't turn on the WiFi when I click the button. The second issue I'm having is that BrcmPatchRAM2 and BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext are not going into the clover folder even though I've run them through Hackintool. I've attached my clover folder below. Any ideas? CLOVER.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 4, 2020 Moderators Share Posted April 4, 2020 If you're going to use BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext, it needs to be in /L/E. If you want it in clover kext, you'll need BrcmFirmwareData.kext instead. FYI BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext or BrcmFirmwareData.kext and BrcmPatchRAM2.kext are for Bluetooth firmware, not Wifi. Watermelon Jello
I tried for awhile and ended up just buying a WiFi and Bluetooth adapter, and they work like a charm. Thank you for guiding me through this build! I think I can call it a success.
