Genuine Apple BCM943224PCIEBT card: no WiFi

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

So I just reinstalled Catalina on my E7270, (I had to use the SSD drive for a different system), and I'm having a strange problem with my WiFi. I'm using a genuine Apple Airport card, BCM943224PCIEBT2. When I boot from a USB, using Jake Lo's clover for Catalina, the WiFi starts with no problem. However, when I boot from the hard drive, the WiFi is greyed out our keeps trying to connect, but never does.

I've tried fiddling with my kext's in Clover, removing the following:

As I believe that they are unnecessary for a genuine Apple device, but then my WiFi disappears completely. I'm attaching my Clover from my SDD and boot drive, along with a screen shot from system information.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

Broadcom BCM43224 14e4:4353 is subject to whitelisting:

And, very obviously, those DW1820A-related injected properties do not apply to your Apple card so remove them. It's always essential to pay attention to full computer's hardware specs, especially when re-using someone else's config files...

The DW1820a patches are commented out so they are not applied here. You most likely just need to patch for the whitelisting as Hervé pointed it out.

I'm also using BCM943224PCIEBT2 in my Dell e7270 Catalina 10.15.5 with Opencore 0.5.9 and working properly.

you need add on device properties , using hackintool you can see the device path , I think it will also work on clover.

herewith mine setting on OC config.plist. I believe it work also on clover, but check it firt using hackintool for pcie.

And still need AirportBrcmFIxup.kext
