taskto2000
Hello, I have been trying for 2 weeks to run macOS Catalina on a Dell Latitude E5590 (i7 vpro) without result. Yesterday i managed to start the installation of macOS but it crashed before the end. If you have any idea?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 5, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 5, 2020 It'll help if you posted your system's full specs. Which MacOS are you installing? How did you create your Installer? Source? Clover or OpenCore? Which version? What error did you encounter? For starter, you could try following Hervé's guide here. You could use his included files, just leave off the DSDT.aml
taskto2000
I followed hervé's tutorial. I started with a virtual box vm with mojave. I used cover r4919 I started from the Clover_Pack_7490_09.zip file without change because the 2 pc are similar. My pc dell latitude e5590 • Processor: Intel CoreTM i7–8650u processor (1.9 GHz) • memory: 16 GB DDR 4 • Screen: 39.6 cm (15.6 inches) • Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 6, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2020 What type or model is the Internal drive? Note, if it's a PM981 or PM981a, those are known to not work on Hackintosh very well.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted October 6, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 6, 2020 if it is a pm981 you can try adding this kext https://github.com/acidanthera/NVMeFix follow the instructions there.
taskto2000
Hello, I do not know if the ssd is a PM981 or PM981a. Attached a photo:
Administrators Hervé Posted October 8, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 8, 2020 PM981 are Samsung NVME (PCIe) SSDs (you could have Googled for this); yours is a Micron SATA SSD (it's written on it), therefore not an NVME model. Exact model is Micron 1300 MTFDDAV512TDL 512GB (it's also written on it). Anyway, given that it's a SATA disk, no issue on the SSD front.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 8, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 8, 2020 @taskto2000 At Clover screen, press the spacebar. Select verbose + debug 0x100 mode. Continue booting, post error or KP when encountered.

Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 8, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 8, 2020 you shouldn't see the apple icon until the very end if you have verbose mode enabled. post your Clover folder for review
