chr0sy
Hi. I'm having wake issues with my E7450. I have tried literally everything and can't get it to work! This is my pmset log, i cut it to the part from where it starts to wake (lid opens) till I see the screen. It takes literally 2 minutes, and when it wakes (desktop shows), all apps which aren't made from Apple don't work. Meaning, safari etc work but Chrome, VS Code, spotify etc don't work. AppleIntelFramebuffer driver shows 3 times x 40 seconds of delay which amounts to the 2 minutes. ///////////////////// //////////// //////////////////// 2021-02-09 13:20:01 +0100 Notification Display is turned on 2021-02-09 13:20:01 +0100 Assertions Kernel Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler 2021-02-09 13:20:01 +0100 Assertions PID 152(mDNSResponder) Created MaintenanceWake "mDNSResponder:maintenance" 00:00:00 id:0x0xd00008178 [System: PrevIdle DeclUser BGTask SRPrevSleep kCPU kDisp] 2021-02-09 13:20:01 +0100 Assertions [System: PrevIdle DeclUser BGTask SRPrevSleep kCPU kDisp] 2021-02-09 13:20:03 +0100 Assertions PID 152(mDNSResponder) Released MaintenanceWake "mDNSResponder:maintenance" 00:00:02 id:0x0xd00008178 [System: DeclUser BGTask kDisp] 2021-02-09 13:21:38 +0100 Assertions PID 270(mds_stores) Released BackgroundTask "com.apple.metadata.mds_stores.power" 00:04:40 id:0x0xb00008030 [System: DeclUser BGTask kDisp] 2021-02-09 13:22:01 +0100 Wake Wake from Normal Sleep [CDNVA] : due to LID0/UserActivity Assertion Using AC (Charge:100%) 2021-02-09 13:22:01 +0100 HibernateStats hibmode=3 standbydelaylow=10800 standbydelayhigh=86400 3 2021-02-09 13:22:01 +0100 WakeTime WakeTime: 120.438 sec 2021-02-09 13:22:01 +0100 Kernel Client Acks Delays to Sleep notifications: [AppleHDADriver driver is slow(msg: SetState to 0)(505 ms)] [ApplePS2Controller driver is slow(msg: SetState to 0)(432 ms)] [en0 driver is slow(msg: WillChangeState to 0)(5301 ms)] 2021-02-09 13:22:01 +0100 Kernel Client Acks Delays to Wake notifications: [AppleHDADriver driver is slow(msg: SetState to 1)(973 ms)] [PRT0 driver is slow(msg: SetState to 2)(1167 ms)] [ApplePS2Controller driver is slow(msg: SetState to 2)(1217 ms)] [AppleIntelFramebuffer driver is slow(msg: SetState to 2)(40385 ms)] [AppleIntelFramebuffer driver is slow(msg: SetState to 2)(40010 ms)] [AppleIntelFramebuffer driver is slow(msg: SetState to 2)(40023 ms)] 2021-02-09 13:22:01 +0100 Assertions PID 81(powerd) Created InternalPreventSleep "com.apple.powermanagement.acwakelinger" 00:00:00 id:0x0xd00008188 [System: PrevIdle DeclUser BGTask SRPrevSleep kCPU kDisp] Total Sleep/Wakes since boot at 2021-02-09 13:16:50 +0100 :1 2021-02-09 13:22:26 +0100 : Showing all currently held IOKit power assertions Assertion status system-wide: BackgroundTask 1 ApplePushServiceTask 0 UserIsActive 1 PreventUserIdleDisplaySleep 0 PreventSystemSleep 0 ExternalMedia 0 PreventUserIdleSystemSleep 0 NetworkClientActive 0 InternalPreventSleep 1 Listed by owning process: pid 135(WindowServer): [0x0000003b00098055] 00:00:00 UserIsActive named: "com.apple.iohideventsystem.queue.tickle serviceID:100000416 name:IOHIDEventDriver product:Keyboard eventType:3" pid 96(mds): [0x0000000f000b800f] 00:05:28 BackgroundTask named: "com.apple.metadata.mds.power" pid 81(powerd): [0x0000012a000d8188] 00:00:25 InternalPreventSleep named: "com.apple.powermanagement.acwakelinger" Timeout will fire in 20 secs Action=TimeoutActionRelease Kernel Assertions: 0x4=USB id=500 level=255 0x4=USB creat=9.2.21, 1:19 PM description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1d100000 owner=IOUSBHostDevice id=505 level=255 0x4=USB creat=9.2.21, 1:25 PM description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1d170000 owner=5880 id=506 level=255 0x4=USB creat=9.2.21, 1:23 PM description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1d130000 owner=IOUSBHostDevice id=507 level=255 0x4=USB creat=9.2.21, 1:24 PM description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1d160000 owner=Integrated_Webcam_HD Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler //////////////////////// ///////////// ////////////////////////
Administrators Hervé Posted February 9, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 9, 2021 1st of all, you should disable hibernation as explained in our FAQ section. 2nd, not much can be said without knowing the details of your setup (OS version, bootloader, zipped EFI folder, etc.)
Administrators Bronxteck Posted February 9, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 9, 2021 looks like hibernate mode is set to 3. see if setting it to 0 helps
chr0sy
Hi, so I disabled hibernation and that made no difference. Below is the latest pmset log after hibernation was disabled. Apps like chrome and vs code still don't open or rather they crash after wake. My setup is: Dell Latitude e7450, Intel i3 5300-U processor, Intel HD 5500 graphic card (iGPU). I'm using Opencore 0.6.6 (latest) and below is link to download my EFI folder. It does not contain Kexts folder (I have attached screenshot of all kexts I have installed since it was too big to upload here.. Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 12, 2021 Moderators Share Posted February 12, 2021 @chr0sy Tested your files on my E7450. I had to remove Airportitlwm, IntelBluetoothFirmware, IntelBluetoothInjector and LegacySierraQMI since I don't have those devices. I had to also disable / remove SMCDellSensors otherwise I lose touchpad after sleep. I added AirportBrcmFixup, BrcmBluetoothInjector, BrcmFirmwareData, and BrcmPatchRAM3 for my DW1560 card. Sleep / wake works just fine. All apps continue working. I don't even need to change another in hibernation mode. You can start troubleshooting by 1st removing LegacySierraQMI. Not sure if that's even supported in BS.
