cowboy_wilhelm
It won't boot when switchable graphics are enabled in the BIOS. It always restarts and is disabled automatically. BIOS is latest version, 1.21.3 UEFI enabled, AHCI enabled, secure boot disabled. Here's the problem/panic report from the "didn't shut down properly" warning after it does boot. Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 15, 2021 Moderators Share Posted February 15, 2021 you are not using the files I linked. Please try that. The error message is related to graphics
cowboy_wilhelm
Sweeeeeeet. Finally listened and copied all of the files and it's working now. Much appreciated! Looks like I can add a DW1820 card and be ready to go for Wi-Fi? Also, what causes the black screen when waking from sleep? It looks like darkwake since the screen is briefly backlit. I tried 'acpi-wake-type | Data | <01>' in device properties and 'darkwake = 0' boot arg with no result.
Administrators Hervé Posted February 16, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 16, 2021 No, DW1820 is unsupported. Don't go for that and don't confuse that card with the DW1820A.
cowboy_wilhelm
Whoops, meant DW1820A.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 16, 2021 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2021 Files are configured for DW1820A, so just add it and should work. Any issue with flickering? Just wondering if it's my LCD that's going out or the BIOS version that's causing it.
cowboy_wilhelm
Nope, haven't noticed any flickering. Is it constant?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 16, 2021 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2021 Yeah, must be my display. Flickering even on Windows and BIOS page. Unfortunate...
